Hi Rowsus;
Last weekend I kept NvB, hoping he'd get a 70-odd to gain a bit of cash (and to sit on the bench if any of my Sunday Mids like Sloane happened to be a late out), unfortunately he went backwards in price; but I've got a bit of cash in the bank so I'm looking for analysis about moving him on.
Last night, I was pretty sure that NvB out was a given, but with news that Richard Douglas is out for 6 weeks, and Rory Sloane is highly likely to be rested, I'm wondering if NvB might have a second wind; with scores around 80+ rather than 40.
Now that I've spoken about who I'm thinking of getting out; here is my trade target: Jack Ziebell. Now when I'm bringing Ziebell in, I'm planning to swing Newnes or Saad into the Middle, and swing Higgins into defence, thereby opening up Def/Mid and Mid/Fwd swing sets. If Ziebell is a good trade in, but I, in light of the situation in Adelaide, keep NvB, then I can trade Goodes out instead.
If I don't go Ziebell in, and I wish to bring in a top of the line premium, with 235k in the bank meaning that I'd have about $520k if I traded NvB out directly. With that, I can get Harley Bennell, who is under consideration, Kieren Jack, who has a massive B/E, Tom Mitchell, whose JS is on about as solid a foundation as Venice. I cannot get Dangerfield (annoyingly about 3k too expensive for a straight swap) or Kennedy (seems to be nicely positioned at about 113 B/E, however he is too expensive for a straight swap.)
If I did decide to get Kennedy, I could use a Goodes - McKenzie or Goodes-Glenn via Higgins and Krakouer to fund the NvB - Kennedy trade; but it is worth trading either of those two rookies in a week early, and which one would you prefer if you had to pick?

I think you need to read the changes this week at Adelaide before you decide. If M Crouch comes in for example, then NvB is probably just going to play the same role he did on the weekend.
I'm not in love with the Ziebell pick, either. Too many problems attached for mine.
I'd be getting JPK, using Glenn, or Bennell, who also come with problems attached!
