Why was TBC subbed out?

Scored 39 points from 40% TOG, from a SC POV that's his best returns yet.

Is this one of those times where SC score and the actual game impact don't correlate.

Fairly happy so far, given that I had 3 rookies (Kelly, CEY and McIntosh) combine for 129 points.

Traded in T Mitchell and Westhoff, which brought in 268 points.

Would love Birchall, Bennell and the Bont back soon - very hard seeing those players on the pine.

Griffen, Ward, Swallow, McGovern, Naitanui, Priddis, Pendlebury, Swan and Goldstein to come.

Good luck to all today.

I'm locking in Fyfe's score as well but i guess if you were gonna take a risk, this is probably the time to do it.

Alot of coaches are gonna keep Fyfe's scores, while others have gone Gray so there's even more to gain now (as well as less to lose) so it's almost like the odds have turned in your favour.
I agree with this. I have Fyfe VC but after considering Selwood (and not going with that) I am 90% locked on Montagna. Can go big and playing the hawks so I cant see them bothering with a hard tag on anyone.

12/1155. JPK, Dahl and Gray disappointing. Very happy with my new recruit in Wines - seemed like good timing to trade out Miller. Selwood's score was great if somewhat unexpected given his recent performances!

Now to trade out Oxley to Yeo and pick a captain. Thinking I'll whack the C on Priddis.

Donut in backline with Smith, JPK and TBC. Looking as though it'll be one of those seasons where my team will be equal to or even better than the top 250 by the end of the year, yet the method by which I got there was highly inefficient. Any other stragglers feeling the same?

Not going to walk out on my team because want to finish the job and make it full strength and at least be in the running for some weekly cash prizes! The thing keeping me optimistic is the amount of cash tied up in some rookies (Tarrant, Sheed and Wallis), in conjunction with the fact that my premium spots left to feel are almost all in the backline where "premiums" are cheapest relative to the other positions.

Taking a bit to muster up the humility to admit this but I've had a very lean run with injuries - just Ablett who has needed trading, whilst keeping Henderson (4 missed) and Smith was debatable. Had a constant loop of 1-2 week injuries it seems, but not to the important players who have seemingly destroyed other coach's seasons. To think I escaped Lamb, McGrath, Glenn, Wines, Sloane, Rockliff (both times), Bartel, Johnson, Lewis, and probably a dozen others has been tough for me to handle given you would think that gives someone free passage to top ~2000 if they had an inkling of supercoach know-how!

Pains me to say it, but sadly it has just come down to a series of bad picks, as simple as that: Lumumba, KK, TBC, Goodes, Parker (from start) and Selwood combined with the annoying tendency I have to try and get creative with my initial squads which caused me to pass up other "no-brainers" for other coaches in Miller and Vanderberg (2nd and 6th in overall price jump), almost more importantly than the profit is how I could've spent the cash savings instead of picking Jong and Sheed for example. I will say though that the influx of GC injuries have made trading out KK and passing up Miller seem worse than what I feel otherwise would've happened - so willing to put that down to uncontrollable shenanigans.

Well done Max Power, great attitude to have. I've seen some others posting that they've had enough and hanging up the boots, your post is an inspiration :) good luck for the rest of the season, hope you can snag a weekly prize.

14 / 1400 (Fyfe C)

Everything OK on average, although was never going to be spectacular when you cop a -3 on Friday night (Johnson).

Mixed results from my 2 new recruits (Wines & Dahlhaus), but 201 between the 2 of them is nothing to sneeze at.

Other positives include some strong premium scores from Dangerfield, T. Mitchell & D. Martin, with Selwood hopefully starting to turn a corner.

7 premiums & 1 rookie still to come: Griffen, Newnes, Pendlebury, Shaw, Tarrant, Goldstein, Swan & Naitanui. 2,200 would be nice.

Thought that myself but they're reporting no injury which is even worse lol. Very very annoying seeing i've held him all this time as cover heading into the MBR's.

When asked if the Bombers' ruck setup would be scrutinised, Hird replied: "Yeah, we'll assess and have a look at it".

Bellchambers was not injured when he was subbed out of the match at half-time with just three possessions, two marks and 16 hit-outs.

The big man is averaging less than eight touches over the past five rounds – when the Bombers have lost four games – and has only kicked one major.

GWS recruit Jonathan Giles (two goals) is waiting in the wings, while ruck-forward Shaun McKernan (two) was third-best in the VFL team's curtain-raiser on Saturday night.

"We'll see what happens with Tommy during the week. Everyone has periods in your career when you don't play exactly the way you want to play, and you learn from those periods," Hird said.

12/1223 (C Gray). -3 hasn't helped, neither has my captain choice, JPK or Goddard. however Selwood's back, Buddy, Cripps, Neale have done well and H Taylor has almost made up for MJ's injury singlehandedly. Think i'm around par.

Goldy, Nicnat, Swan, Pendles, Tarrant, Beams, Oxley, Yeo, VDB and Lumumba to come. could be anything by Monday arvo?!

9/959.

Will put the C on Montagna. Happy with the week so far but the fact that it is Sunday and I still have so many players to play makes me very very nervous.

Not only forward but in the ruck lol, TBC is just so slow and barely gets around the ground it's not funny. I'd prefer to play Tommy forward because at least he'll have a big night once in a while and kick us a bag.

While it's still fresh in everyone's mind, how did Brodie Smith go in his return game yesterday?

13 kicks, 7 handballs, 5 marks, 1 tackle, 5 contested, 1 clearance, 3 clangers, 55% DE, 85% TOG, 67 SC

Is he still the worthwhile upgrade in round 12 after his bye? Will be $340k give or take so we might actually make some coin trading Ox/Saad out for him

Also Andrew Walker. Had it 26 times yesterday, 6 marks, 3 tackles, very nice numbers. All i can see is he played on Lynch.

Any midfield time there as well? 26 playing out of the backline is massive!

I think he will be good for the run - was rusty but he was so awsome in the first few games, i don't think we have seen his ceiling yet. If you though at the start of the year that you could straight swap K McIntosh for Brodie Smith would you do it?!? I have him and would be very happy if people don't jump on him....bargain in my opinion!!
