AFL Fantasy are giving Adelaide and Geelong players their average.

Will this also be happening in SC? These games tend to follow each other, so you'd assume so?
Mundy is a D/M in AFL Fantasy, which is ridiculous so they are different these days. Also different number of players in the mid and ruck positions now.

From the HS website:

SuperCoach changes explained in wake of Adelaide Crows-Geelong game cancellation
NEWS CORP AUSTRALIA
JULY 03, 2015 5:13PM

Joel Selwood and Nathan van Berlo compete for the ball.
IN the wake of Phil Walsh’s death, Sunday’s Adelaide-Geelong clash has been cancelled, resulting in changes to SuperCoach Round 14 in-game scoring.

The decision has been made to go back to the top 18 scorers as it was during the bye rounds.

Several popular players will be unavailable this week and we believe this is the best way to reduce the impact.

Below is the rules for the bye rounds, as explained in the game’s terms and conditions, which will apply for this week.

In rounds 11, 12 and 13, a participant’s score for the round will only be based on the scores of the 18 highest scoring players of their selected starting 22 players (including any emergencies which replace those players). Participants will still be required to select 22 starting players in rounds 11, 12 and 13, and if there are more than 18 scoring payers in their selected 22 players, only the scores of the top 18 scoring players be used to calculate the participant’s score for that round.

Best 18 seems like a good and fair result. Those who were looking to get hit hard with outs now should field 18 while others less affected still have an advantage but not as great of one. Win win I think

I'm ok with it (speaking as someone who would have been largely unaffected). I think it's pretty fair given the circumstances.

A zero or DNP hurts many super coaches. An average of Adelaide and Geelong players hurts no one. Surely they have to give averages.

ps. I have 7 Adelaide and Geelong players on field

Hmmm. Comfortably have 18 playing this week.

Now to decide whether to trade Glenn to Steele this week, or just wait until next week.

If I do it this week it frees up and allows me to do two trades next week.

Thoughts??

So if goldy is my vc and i want to keep his score do I need to sub nicnat off and make him emg for read and make read captain as normal as every player on my field is playing. I have no donuts.
Will I still get nicnats score for if he's on the bench for reads 0?

Seconded Idig, I suspect given the technology involved it was the only option they would've had available at short notice, other than zeros.

So if I put Goldy as my VC and want to take his score, I switch Read on the field and put Nic Nat as my emergency. Nic Nat's score will count to my total if it's in the best 18.
Correct?

Very surprised by this decision. Would have preferred 0s or averages.
But the scores for both Geel and Adel players will remain as 0 I assume?
DNPs for Adelaide and Geelong players. (Zeros have other consequences)

20 rather than 18 is what I would have gone with, but maybe the software couldn't be altered in time to do so.

Best 18 probably the fairest solution in this highly unusual situation. Should see a rule come in to clarify any future situations.

If it was a normal season with the 2 bye rounds the game would have just been re-scheduled for the 2nd bye round.
