Most of those "make or break" players look pretty safe bets to AT WORST be profitable stepping stones. Granted you won't make as much cash as a $150k rookie, but at the same time all of them should be guaranteed games and should post 75+ average at worst. Scott Selwood and Bastinac the only two who don't interest me at those prices.

Libba is a no brainer. If you exclude his knee he has been durable of late playing 22 games in his past two seasons for averages of 106 and 110. Started 2015 at $593k
JOM has played two full seasons before being injured last year for averages of 90 and 97 and started 2015 at $525k
Crouch has played two half seasons (durability a bigger concern) for averages of 87 and 94 and started 2015 at $508k

Excluding Crouch, outside of their major injuries last year these guys have been pretty durable. Crouch is the biggest gamble, but I don't see why you shouldn't start 2016 with all 3 of these guys.

Now it's more fun. Many had these guys locked in at more expensive prices but I think we now have a fair debate. You could still argue that they won't score as well as a top 10 mid and they won't make as much money as a good cash cow but they can do a bit of both.

only by default considering he got subbed out injured with 21 pts in his 6th game shrinking his average from 134ppg to 116ppg, which is a fair discount given his past history

All injury prone, all have shown they can average 95-100, all mid only, Wells should be a lot cheaper. Thinking any of them are keepers is speculative so you would be picking them as stepping stones or cash cows.

Maybe we can create a new term for these guys - Stepping Cows!

Will make us money and potentially help us to to the elite players...
