Yeah that would make sense. Idiotic behaviour nevertheless, and not ideal preparation for a top tier player in a team very close to being contenders i wouldn't have thought. Wonder if his suspension opens the door for another tiger, maybe a Lloyd type who couldn't get a full run last year and comes with a decent discount (subbed 7/12 times).
If Dusty was to get a lengthy suspension I think it would also help Shane Edwards.

Edwards had his injury worries but it's worth noting that in 2015 in the games where he played at least 80% TOG he averaged 101.

My recollection from "legal study" days many years ago is that Aust is different to the USA in that that the American system allows individuals to decide whether to "press charges" against a someone, however in Australia it is up to the police or the Director of Public Prosecutions (do we still have one of those?) whether to go ahead with charges. I suppose though that if a "victim" of a crime wasn't keen to proceed, that the police may drop it as their case would be substantially weakened.

Someone with a more current understanding of the legal system may care to correct me if I'm wrong of course :)
Nope, same as here, the state decides whether to proceed with the prosecution, whether the complainant wants to proceed or not. If the complainant indicates an unwillingness to proceed but the prosecution believes it can obtain a conviction on the available evidence, it can still proceed without the complainant's oral testimony.

The police heard of our discontent today and obviously understand the power of a strong lobby group. If only champion data knew how influential we are.

The AFL and Richmond were waiting for the police report so we should have a decision soon. Threatening a woman with violence should see him get a decent whack. The AFL in particular will make sure.

If he doesn't play round 1, I'll probably take Bennell instead. But is it too much to have Fyfe, Barlow and Bennell in the same team?

2 of them as forwards should be ok. I'm considering Barlow and Bennell but baulking on Fyfe. If I have Ablett, Jelwood and Lockliff as captain options I probably don't need to spend the money on Fyfe. I also have a feeling Freo will try and share the work next year and be less predictable.

What are North's supporters take on Wells and Anderson? Awkward price, would need at least 80ave to be worth taking

Robbo seems to think that with Dusty being cleared by police there is no way the AFL can take action as they cleared him of threatening the woman as there was no other witness to confirm what happened. So if the police clear him of any wrongdoing how can the AFL then turn around and say he's guilty. Reckons he won't miss any games.

What a pile of ****, two different standards.....one for the majority and one for the minority...famous people, rich people ect eventually people will understand that just because someone is famous or wealthy doesn't make them a better person than you nor should it subject them to different laws.....yeah right maybe in U-fkn-topia lol

Yeah i keep reading this too. For me, i just dont see it happening. He'll no doubt rest forward and probably spend more time forward than the average midfielder because he's so dangerous/tall/mobile but i just dont see them turning a brownlow medalist midfielder (in his prime) into a forward.

Stranger things have happened i suppose and they possibly identify the need for more scoring options forward but surely his value is on the ball

Not in this case IMO. I think if you and I were drunk and waved around a chop stick we wouldnt be taken through the court system either. And what a complete waste of time and money that would be.

Also very interested on Jed Anderson and what role if any he will play for North. Maybe KLo30 can help?
