Really the only mid pricer in my team is crouch.
Malceski is a proven fallen prem
Libba is a returning from inj prem
Lobbe is a lone ruck that gets it back prem
So the only risk I see I'm taking is crouch who could be omeara(see Libba)

Yeah your right but i see less risk here than picking a Williams type def with no evidence/history to score elite

I wouldn't think of Lobbe as a premium, a clear stepping stone.

Apart from the rookies, who as you said are placeholders, your team is very close to mine. The backline premos are exactly the same. Main difference is I've got Wines and Libba at the moment and not Rockliff.

I still have many spots I'm not sure of though.

I've had Simpson and to a lesser degree Laird in and out of teams this pre-season. A question, does the tough start faced by Adelaide and Carlton mean they are at risk of more dud scores as they (may) lose more, or higher scores because the ball will be coming into defence more?

Hey Jaca,
Carlton haven't exactly set the house on fire over previous seasons, turning 1/9 at the bye last year, and 3/5 the year before (incl wins in both seasons against The Saints)

I haven't seen a breakdown on Simpsons's scoring on W v L, but surely the Blues start can't be as bad as last year, and in fact there is probably room for optimism in comparison on the w/L ratio. I'm toying between Simmo or Doch atm

Defs: Obviously it's rookie dependent, so let's see how we go
Mids: A little deep, but plenty of value there
Rucks: To Goldy or not to Goldy isn't my question, but who is his partner. I'm almost certain I'll go for a non-Lobbe/Tippet answer
Fwds: Have been set this way for a while.

Close to my team. Same structure just a couple different premiums. As mentioned if nab reveals 200k+ rookies we cant go without, libba may enter the fold

Mid: Danger, Pendlebury, Ablett, Rockliff, Liberatore, R, R, R, R, R, R
Ruck: Goldstein, Jacobs, Max King
Fwd: Martin, Dahlhaus, Barlow, ZMerrett, R, R, R, R

A few comments:
- All my rookies are pretty generic placeholders apart from Max King who's locked as an r/f floating donut.
- ~$128k remaining for any must have expensive rookies who may put their hands up
- Salem is my breakout selection. He had his hammy worked on at training earlier this week though, and only ran laps yesterday, so will wait and see.
- Set and forget (hopefully) rucks
- The ZMerrett place is still up for grabs

Really like that midfield & ruck set up provided there will be 3 rookies in defence and forward. I think you will get more points out of Simpkin than Parish also.

i agree with Shaahorn if your def and fwd rookies work out then great, but u might be exposing yourself as well. your mids and rucks are fantasic. i would suggest have a plan b.
