Was just on the SC site and happened to hit Gameday and it's showing this weeks matchups already.(including my planned trades) Is this something reasonably new? Or has anyone else ever seen this?
I have noticed this for the past 3 rounds (could have been active earlier than this), however, was not aware that it was showing actual 'live' real time information prior to rolling lock-out!

Its possible maybe its only showing your own changes and not your opponent. If you've got a spare minute Thanh I think I'm actually matched up against you in Winitorbinit. My likely trade this week(which I have currently done ) involves Gunston, so the question is can you see Gunston in my side?

I noticed it fairly early in the year so I suspect it has been like that all year. However whilst you do see your own trades and positional changes in real time I think you only see the opposition team as it finished the previous round and is not updated until first lockout.

Just checked Anthony, and I don't see Gunston in your team (still see Hall & Deledio on the bench) so it would seem that B2D observation is correct.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say a preemptive big thanks to the contributors and moderators of this site, and really everyone that is involved. I"m a more active preseason than season proper contributor, but whenever I do managed come on, I feel as if everyone is genuinely trying to help each other. You are all awesome! I've got a lot of hard won lessons from this season, that I will be more than keen to explore in the o***eason, but until then, good luck for league finals, and to anyone going for the overall prize.

Cheers
JS

A moment of melancholia watching the games opening ceremony.
Seeing all the young, fit, toned bodies, wishing myself 30-35 years ago and reminded of George Bernard Shaw's famous "youth is wasted on the young".

Didn't know where to put this.

Joel Selwood has set a new AFL free kick record

When the Cats walked off the field after playing the Bulldogs in Round 19, they took more than just the win from the Dogs. They took a record away, too. That afternoon, Joel Selwood notched up his 585th free kick, more than any player has recorded in the AFL era, which began in 1990. Selwood overtook Bulldogs great Scott West, the previous record holder, who had notched up 584 free kicks over the course of his career. Selwood received another two frees when they played the Bombers last weekend, taking his career total to a monumental 587.

It took Scott West 324 games to rack up 584 free kicks, but Selwood took just 222 games to break his AFL-era record, a stunning average pace of 2.6 free kicks per game.

He follows the five Ds - dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge ;)

Awesome effort by the Boomers to do what no other country has done and push the USA all the way!!

Mills, Delly and Anderson where fantastic. Took an outstanding game from Melo to beat us... plus some dodgy reffing.

Proud of the boys.

Right on LITS. We looked like winners for the most part.

I'll admit I didn't know a lot about Anderson before the olympics but he can definitely play. Hit some great long range jumpers today.

Loved Bogut's post match interview. He showed genuine disappointment which I think is fantastic. Hopefully there's a rematch down the track!

Spot on... As a fan you can be happy with the boys performance today, But Bogut said exactly what I wanted to hear from a player, as you said he was genuinely disappointed and you could tell it burned a little... Use this to propel ourselves towards a medal.

Anderson is back in the NBL this season so It's fantastic to have our best baller's coming back home to play in the NBL.

The irony is that people who work at the Herald Sun aren't eligible for prizes, but players are.
Pretty sure Grima won a weekly a couple of seasons ago, and someone (maybe the AFL?) stepped in and requested he donate the money to charity.

Also, good luck in our SCS02 semi final this week, but not too much

Neale definitely having an impressive season.

Fremantle midfielder Lachie Neale All-Australian material, says former teammate Luke McPharlin

CHRIS ROBINSON, PerthNow
August 14, 2016 2:00am

LACHIE Neale is on track to tally the most disposals in a home-and-away campaign this century as he stakes a claim for a maiden All-Australian berth.

The recently re-signed Fremantle midfielder has been the club’s biggest positive in an otherwise bleak season, racking up 630 touches at a whopping 33.2 per game.

Neale requires just under 31 disposals a game over the final three weeks of the year to break Matthew Boyd’s home-and-away mark of 721 – the highest tally since Champion Data became the AFL’s statistics provider in 1999.

Retired Docker and 6PR analyst Luke McPharlin said his former teammate could not be ignored for All-Australian honours despite Fremantle’s lowly 3-16 record.

“It’s going to be more difficult, but clearly, he’s a standout,” said McPharlin, who was named at full-back in the 2012 All-Australian side.

“What’s so impressive about his year is the way he’s maintained such a high standard of football despite the external noise about Fremantle and the year that they’ve had.

“He was in the (preliminary 40-man) All-Australian squad last year, so he’s already in the minds of selectors. He’s absolutely a chance to get in the team this year and deserves to be.”

GWS spearhead Jeremy Cameron made the 2013 All-Australian side despite his team winning just one match for the year, while Gary Ablett earned selection from three-win Gold Coast outfits in 2011 and 2012.

While Neale’s sheer disposal numbers are impressive, his ranking in the competition’s top-four for both contested possessions and clearances per game underline his ascension into the AFL’s elite midfield bracket.

“It’s the contested ball-winning ability which is the real feature of his game,” McPharlin said.

“He’s more than capable of rolling his sleeves up, getting to work and hunting the ball.

“To know he can absorb all the attention and fuss of this year and still perform at a high level… that’s going to give him a lot of strength going into next season.”

McPharlin said he had been impressed by Neale’s maturity, preparation and work rate ever since the South Australian joined the club in late 2011.
