Tough start alright, been watching the Opals too much

Way too many turnovers, not enough scoring...
Yep, it's a long way back from here. Saw Mills and Inglis miss back to back wide open threes then. Shots we weren't missing in earlier matches!

How can anyone not love Eddie Betts? He's awesome! I often message my Carlton supporting buddy who still loves him gushing of whatever magic he's just done.

Yep, we all love Eddie.
Always been a great player to watch.
Did not want to leave but Carlton stupidly did not match Crows offer to him. Instead they spent more signing on Dale Thomas and therefore did not even get a free agent comp pick for him either. Dumb as it gets. Thankfully those recruiting managers are no longer there.

Eddie could not even read and write when he started at Carlton all those years ago so clearly has to make the most of his football career earnings. No way he could knock back Adelaide offer especially when he had family and relatives in South Australia too. Hence no Carlton fan would have any ill feelings toward Eddie despite him being with another club now. Worked out well for his long term and Eddie will always be loved at Carlton. So many incredible goals in his career. One of my favourites is the goal of year against Collingwood one year when big brawl broke out between Carlton and Pie players and whilst it was happening, Eddie like a thief in the night slotted an amazing goal from boundary line with left foot. Check out his incredible goal in last game at Football Park between Port and Carlton. Brings a smile to face the tricks he has up his sleeve.

He is a great character and entertainer for Aussie rules footy fans just like Usain Bolt is for the sprinters at the Olympics.
He has always looked out for his fellow younger forwards too.
Was the leader among the three amigos at Carlton in the 2010 to 2013 era and I've watched with interest he also take Charlie Cameron under his wing and show him the way on field at Adelaide.
Just an all round great guy and inspiration as a person.

Just seen the Sloane incident , didn't even have his eyes on the ball for me I think he is gone !
as an owner I hope not, but it was a very clumsy effort and I think he is in trouble, a week would seem fair but a lot of incidents this year have surprised me by being a fine or player let off in what seems to be a very player friendly system

If Mitchell got off, and Boomer got off, I'd be really annoyed if I was Sloane and got a week.

It's pretty easy with the gloves: ban them outright. Shouldn't need them in the first place and IMHO they're against the spirit of the game.
