This shows u have Adams mcgrath etc in the middle with no way of swapping them etc
Same as forwards all mid forwards in forwards ?
I can't seem to get your team up
I think I get you now. Just letting you know it's not my official team, that's just the combination of the 30 most popular players from the heraldsun squeezed into a team of 30 as per your original post.

After reading the herald sun top 30 picks I have counted that I have 24 of the most popular players.
So does that mean I have nailed it or do we all have no idea
I was experimenting and combined them into neater looking team and made it in another thread for fun. It's also known as the cookie cutter team.

I was forced to put Adams & McGrath in the middle due to having the other 8 defenders already in defence, and them being part of the top 30 most popular choices, had to put them somewhere.

In reality, I would not recommend placing any DEF/MID prems to start in the middle. Rookies are a different question, however I would have Hibberd there due to being a cheaper rookie, would not put McGrath there due to his high starting price. FWIW I have Adams in the backline in my real team and I have Hibberd in the middle in my real team, do not have McGrath at all.

Well give it to me

Def: Shaw, Laird, Adams , Marchbank, Hampton, Otten (Stewart, EVW)

Mids: Danger, Pendelbury, Bont, Fyfe, Tmitchell, Beams, O'Meara, SPP (Berry, Hibberd, Miles)

Rucks: Max, Sandi (Cameron)

FWDS: Dahlhaus, Macrae, Pertracca, Roughhead, Nankervis, Bowes (Pickett, Eddy)

Min left in kitty know there are faults but reached a stalemate in my thinking
DEF: Cookie Cutter backline, same as mine.

MID: Great line, leave as is.

RUC: Cookie Cutter ruck line.

FWD: Petracca for POD is a risk that could work seeing as the rest of your team is very strong. Just a worry that with 5 keepers, you are limiting yourself to 1 other fwd upgrade only and potentially could miss out trading in some of the other highest averaging premiums that do eventually show up. But I guess it's a personal preference thing.

I only have 15 of the 30 in the cookie cutter team but I have 11 of the top 50 by ave from last season. I'm happy with the point of difference and the number of solid performers in the team. Let the fun begin:)

Hi chaps,

I have largely been avoiding Supercoach this off-season, trying to build some currency with the trouble and strife before the season proper.
I have tried to ignore the JLT bolters and stick quite closely to the list that has sat in my phone since the end of last season. I think I have too many overpriced rookies but don't mind paying a bit more for job security and potential output, they may change based on teams, ruck coverage and a potential floating doughnut.

Any feedback and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Def: Docherty, Laird, Adams, Marchbank, Hampton, Otten (Vickers-Willis, Stewart)
Mids: Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Hannebery, Treloar, Fyfe, Beams, Powell-Pepper, Barrett (Miles, Parfitt, Lloyd)
Rucks: Goldstein, Sandilands (Cameron)
Fwds: Dahlhaus, Macrae, Lynch (GC), Hoskin-Elliot, Taranto, Turner (Pickett, Eddy)

I like it mate, similar to how mine is shaping at the moment...
Cameron is out R1 it seems, he isn't the best donut. Lloyd from GWS? If so he's unlikely to feature this year I would say. I'll probably put Florent/Taranto in at M7, and I'm still uncertain that D6 to D8 show up! Let's see, eh?!

Thanks a lot Jaca! Your comments are appreciated.
Lloyd is sort of a place filler based on being promoted from the rookie list and having a high points per minute average in the JLT. I'm hoping he'll be named but not expecting it.
I'm also hoping that at least one rookie ruck will be named, otherwise Strnadica will be my loophole and I'll have to hope that Sandilands holds up, not an ideal situation though, I would prefer cheap ruck cover and possibly a potential floating doughnut across the mids/fwds.
Fingers crossed for all the rookies, I think that there will be enough to fill the gaps but whether they have job security and scoring potential is another matter. I am happy to pay overs for those that have a better chance of sticking around.
Thanks again mate.

OK, I think this is me until the teams arrive. Though I'm questioning every spot apart from Danger and Fyfe at the moment.

DEF: Shaw, Rance, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, EVW, (Otten, Stewart)
MID: Danger, Treloar, Bont, Fyfe, Beams, O'meara, Swallow, SPP, (Barrett, Pickett, Deluca)
RK: Gawn, Sandi (Strnd)
FWD: N. Riewoldt, JJK, Dahl, Rough, Taranto, Eddy, (Butler, Parfitt)

Changed Adams to Rance when I analysed my bye situation.
Bont and Steven have changed spots a number of times. I've toyed with another rookie for O'meara/Swallow, and upgrading Bont to Selwood or Hannebery. Bont had 8 or 9 pretty substandard scores last year - just wonder if the Dogs roundabout of mids means he'll continue this sort of fluctuation.
Suddenly uncomfortable with N.Roo for some reason... he has to slow down eventually, and is probably a bit overpriced. Not sure I can start the top three priced fwds.
Some bench rookies are placeholders until final teams and last minute research.

Anyway, feedback would be great. Thanks.

Missing a mid Zimmer....

Edit. All good. Great side. Only risk is no ruck cover, and Eddy at F6, but that's the price you have to pay to lock in a Gawn at R1.

With DPP, you should be able to find a startable M8/F6 but the only risk is if you cop a couple of short term injuries early.

Like the fact you've been able to include both Swallow and JOM without compromising your number of genuine keepers.

That's a great looking side mate. Good luck this year (except when you play against me!).

Think you'll have the wood over me. I'm pretty late to the party this year. Though sounds like you have a fair bit to think about off field as well. Good luck with both.

Back- Shaw, Adams, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, EVW, - Guthrie, Stewart

Mid- Danger, Hanners, Treloar, Fyfe, Mitchell, Beams, Swallow, SPP, - Barrett, Miles, Swallow

Ruck- Sandi, Witts - Cameron

FWD- Dahlhaus, Macrae, Roughy, Nank,Taranto, Parfitt - Houston, Eddy

Pretty happy with my side now, got 374k left and can't decide between Marchbank-> Docherty giving me a 4 premo defence or Swallow -> Selwood giving me a 7 premo midfield. Would love to hear some opinions.

Marchbank > Docherty, for me, especially given the lack of def. rookies.

Because we think Gawn or Goldy will drop early and Witts only needs to play 6-8 games.
But are you convinced he will score well enough? Rucks are usually somewhere I'd want to play safe and I haven't seen anything that even says Witts is going to play every week. Can someone enlighten me?

I'm with you mate. Too risky for me.

I think overall Sandi/Witts is a very POD combo, only 12% have him and I reckon most of them would have him at R2. Good for them if it comes off, but great for me if it doesn't and Goldy starts off strong.
