I'll probably make 2 downgrades; I might have to get both Parsons and Black if both are picked and none of Florent, Cameron, Eddy or Pickett get a game and Nankervis misses. If not, I will consider McNiece or Vickers-Willis too. Parfitt and Fisher (If he is indeed injured), are the most likely to make way.

If all goes to plan i will be something along the lines of

Round 7:OUT- Parfitt and Otten
IN-Parson and EVW

Round 8:OUT- Pickett and MB
IN-Danger and Rookie

Round 9:OUT- SPP and Hampton
IN- Myers and a prem defender

Round 10:OUT- WHE and Newman
IN-Lynch and Prem defender

Why trade Otten ahead of Hampton?

Why trade Otten ahead of Hampton?
Just have a feeling Otten wont keep scoring like he has and also has a higher B/E, still might trade Hampton this week. Keen to move Otten/MB/Hampton on in the next 3 weeks and think MB will be best to go next week

Interesting trading plans from all.

Mine are likely to be:

R7
Parfitt/Butler to EVW/Black

R8
Hampton/Otten to Shaw/Rance

R9
SPP/Marchbank to Myers/Rocky

R10
Roughy to Lynch and need a funding trade like Newman/Stewart to rookie or WHE to Ainsworth

EDIT: I just realised how pointless these plans are. If a few of Buddy, Nank and Fyfe get suspended, and Cameron doesn't play, I'll be forced to splurge on a ruck!

I didn't watch the game but noticed he still kicked a goal and had 11 HOs. He had 88 DT too, I wonder if he'll keep that pinch hitting role and Jenkins might be eased back as just a fwd??

So Parsons or Black? for Parfitt. At this stage I have black... possibly the wrong choice. right?

And Hibberd for Hampton. Worse choices for D5 or D6 and unlikely to get any at that price again.

Would Berry be a better defensive rookie than Melican and EVW? Had 2 centre clearances, 7 tackles and 88% time on ground.

Prefer EVW because of his bye. Don't think his JS can be any worse than the other two. An extra 50-60 over a donut or a 20-30 over a poor score in R11 or R13 will be invaluable.

After a quick look think I will paint the fence in the backline so no Black/Parsons for me.

Out Macreadie and Marchbank for McNiece, ahead of EVW only on price and Simmo.

Looks like a Carlton bias, I try to avoid this but I suppose it is two blues out for one in so the bias is lessened.

Is Beams > GAJ too sideways?

I was hoping to wait until after R9 to decide & make the trade, but that 210 for Gaz means he will be an extra 50k in 2 weeks. Beams 66 means he will prob be 50k less too.

Have 558k in the bank before trading this upcoming round (made two double downgrades R6; Marchbank to Fisher via Hibberd & Swallow to Balic)

My thoughts are:

1: Butler to Parsons (if Parsons selected)

2: Parfitt to Ablett or Hampton to Docherty. Will have 378k left in bank if Parfitt to Ablett & around 440k left Hampton to Docherty.

Thoughts? Thanks for any replies.

1. Tick, I'm considering it too.
2. I prefer Hampton to someone like Shaw, or Parfitt to a fallen non-ablett premium.

Thanks for the speedy response. I already have Shaw and am planning on getting Docherty & Hibberd the next week (for Hampton & Otten).
Yeh i know Ablett is a little risky but alot of other fallen premium mids have some risk also; ie, Kennedy, Hanneberry, etc...Ablett still represents great value at $585k (just under $35k cheaper than he started the season) and with a B/E of only 44 it's now or never for him.

Appreciate your help, cheers.
