Cox vs Lycett

Cox has DPP (also have dpp R3), excellent JLT, mostly crap last year although to decent scores in last couple of games (75-90).

Lycett has history of 75-80, ave JLT (vs Ryder/Sandi), Vardy out for some time.

Any Collingwood supporters watch the JLT and notice is Cox materially dfferent to how he played last year. Thought he may give insurance for later in year if he goes fwd, however with 4 fwd already, dont think I will have space for him as I expect a Petracca/Smith may end up a F7.

You know Murphy is not going to be a great scorer at this stage and may just hold onto his position due to injuries/suspension of others.

Do you prefer to have a poor quality D7 or someone who is decent.

I think next best cheaper defender is Bonner at $257k who should ave 75-80. Otherwise its Gurthrie 197k or O'Connor, who is cheap but may not get a game next week.

You have Sicily and not sure if you want to be looking at the $300k defenders.

That must be 1st decision which will then drive mid decision (where you have depth).

Mids rookies includer Hunter Clark, Fogarty, O'Connor, or LDU who have been a poor performer in JLT, then would look at the 250k-300k players, although good once have played already. If you go cheap in defence you can look at Libba/JOM.

Unfortunately you cannot afford Bonner/JOM which would be stand out decision.

Maybe consider Sicily into backline, JOM mids and next best fwd with money left over, will not be Christensen as he will be too expensive.

Just some thoughts. If you are prepared for more change, Hibberd to Savage and that will allow you to do more change ups.
I'd definitely grab a midfielder this week to bank those points. I've got a similar situation with Murphy one I want to get rid of with a late change in my structure. The way I've done it is I'll start Keeffe up forward and then trade Murphy to a fwd rookie later on. I think you could do something similar. You could start Keeffe instead of ZGL and trade O'Shea to Garlett later on. That would mean you keep Murphy though, but I guess O'Shea is a bigger issue for you at this stage.

Alterantively, you could just start someone like Parker and deal with O'Shea later (possible O'shea to Cole/Coffield).
Brayshaw -> O'Connor opens a D/M link , then over $ 600,000.00 for a premium mid

OR

Parker , Rockliff
JOM , Armitage type
another rookie eg O'Connor

depends how bad you want Cripps I guess

teams look very well set up
Thanks for your help guys.

Have mids now as Martin, Mitchell, Crouch, Fyfe, Coniglio, JOM, Brayshaw, Banfield (Kelly, Barry, Holman) with 243k left for upgrades/changes. Obviously having JOM with Coniglio increases the risk but hopefully the gods smile on us. I know that Murphy will score 100 next week so he will be fine :D

Straight up Barry +extra 90k therefore spare 170k all up vs Brayshaw and only 80k leftover

Have two rookie mids on field and is currently kelly and brayshaw (with holman, Garlett, banfield on bench)

Savage vs Walters via a swing of Sicily? Both risky picks, Walters can go huge but scoring is dependant on role, Savage playing a potential lucrative role. Cheers

Lycett is safer as a starting pick than Cox. I'd rather be trading from Lycett to Cox if I need to than Cox to Lycett. Lycett has an easy first two games so if he's not scoring well enough in those, you'll already know it's time to jump off.

Brander (147k, good draw) vs any other floating donut (F/D)?
Really depends whether you need the cash for something else. Brander's draw is by far the best, Keefe might play the ofd game but doesn't have a good draw, Zerk-Thatcher (117k Essendon D/F) probably has the next best draw if you the money- not great for this round given his team's already played though :p

Lycett comfortably for mine. He's an actual AFL standard player, and cheaper. I have Lycett.

Brayshaw and Petracca vs Barry and Heeney
Tough one, but I'd say option two because I much prefer Heeney. If Bary can stay in the side (the key question mark?) he could also make cash more quickly than Brayshaw given the price difference.

Brayshaw, Bontempelli and Neal-Bullen v Banfield, Oliver and Petracca
I don't love player three in either option, but prefer Brayshaw to Banfield and Bont to Oliver if that helps. I have both Freo rookies and Bont.

Banfield for me. Seems to be named last on the bench (which is not in numerical order - a bit of a concern with the Hill boys not far off??) but otherwise I think his JS is better. Even with Lyon as coach I think we are better off with rookies in a weak side, unless there's a clear rolefor them in a strong one. Barry could score well but Banfield did in the JLT as well.

Sicily by a long way for me.
