Second option for me. Grundy clearly over goldy, brayshaw equal or better than Hurn IMHO and shuey worse cover due to lack of dpp but less important than the on-field points and not a big concern with your flexibility elsewhere

As a Goldy owner, I would advise against getting him. Although he's had a good 5 game stretch, there are periods in games where he doesn't do much at all... which is very painful to watch. Grundy is like another midfielder, even when not getting hitouts he'll actually do stuff around the ground where as Goldy doesn't do much at all. I also like Brayshaw think he'll have games where he'll go big.

Thanks for the response. Goldy is enticing due to his current from, North's run home and I rather the 2 options in the Goldy combo rather than the other one.

HTA Rate from rd10-rd14: 39.1% (61/156)
SC Avg from rd10-rd14: 117.25 from 4 (low of 102 and a high of 132, 2/4 120+)

HTA Rate from RD 1-9: 25.74% (78/303)
SC Avg from RD1-9: 87.11 from 9 (low of57 and a high of 123, 6/9 below 100, 1/9 120+)

2018 ES Avg: 109.17 from 6 (low of 77 and a high of 132, 2/6 below 100, 3/6 120+)
2018 Wins Avg: 102.75 from 8 (low of 76 and a high of 132, 3/8 below 100, 3/8 120+)
2018 Losses Avg: 86.2 from 5 (low of 57 and a high of 112, 3/5 below 100)

5/9 at ES and 6/9 against current bottom 10 teams to finish the season.

But Grundy has a favourable draw as well and performs well at the mcg and in wins and has the potential to average 10+ or 20+ than Goldy.

2018 MCG Avg: 122 from 9 (low of 95 and a high of 154, 1/9 below 100, 4/9 120+)
2018 MCG Wins Avg: 122.4 from 5 (low of 98 and a high of 154, 1/5 below 100, 2/5 120+)
2018 Wins Avg: 124.89 from 9 (low of 98 and a high of 154, 1/9 below 100, 4/9 120+, 3/9 140+)
2018 Losses Avg: 121.5 from 4 (low of 95 and a high of 139, 1/4 below 100, 2/4 120+)

Also Collingwood score the most SC points and concede the least.

Selecting Grundy will close a pod as well as the potential for higher scores due to his consistency and ceiling.

I'm struggling to understand the mechanics and I'm not sure who you already have. Grundy one of the most important players for the year and if you can get him do it ahead of any bench options. Otherwise I wouldn't be trying to push Hurn off the ground or trading him in if he's only bench cover. Likewise with Mundy who seems to be a reasonable forward keeper rather than bench cover. Brayshaw is good cover if you can loop as he has shown he can go large but I think Melbourne players are better donuts then looped bench players because of their late games unless he is looping with another volatile player.
But definitely get Grundy.

For my final premium mid I think I've narrowed it down to 4 players. Price in brackets is the amount I would have left following the trade.

Neale ($2,300)
Selwood ($28,100)
Gaff ($32,300)
Pendlebury ($65,400)

Thoughts on which option is best?

I kind of feel that Pendlebury has to get released back into a ball winning role without Treloar, otherwise Selwood for his 2nd half of the season spurt.

My thoughts...

Neale - durable and good ceiling (over 30% of his scores are 120+ for the last 3 years). Averaged 101 with Walters and 133 without Walters so far in 2018.
Selwood - outside 2017 where he missed the final 3 games due to injury, he traditionally finish off the season strong. Averaged 104 with Ablett and 114 without in 2018.
Gaff - Most durable of the four (only 1 game missed in 6 years), but with arguably the lowest ceiling. Averaged 104 with Shuey and 109 without this year.
Pendlebury - One of the SP in years gone by, can he be trusted for one last time...? His last 22 games have yielded an average of less than 100. Averaged 98 with Adams and 112 without in 2018.

Based on the above summations, I would take Neale ahead of the others - good durability, good ceiling, good age, good developing team.

My plan was to trade Fritsch to Danger (via Petracca) to fill my final midfield spot. Now I’m wondering after seeing Dusty last night if I should trade in Kelly this week instead and trade Dusty to Danger next week?

So I guess it’s Danger & Dusty v Kelly & Dusty (7 trades left after this week) v Danger & Kelly (6 with luck, but possibly 5 trades left after next week)?

Gotta sack Dusty I think. I know it hurts and doesn't seem right.
