I wonder how many start Rd1 though?
That’s definitely the main question, but it just feels like we have a fairly deep pool of probables compared to previous years. Perhaps a doing of the good draft pool last year?

I’ve got a longer pool of second tier rookies than I remember from previous years.

I was pretty impressed with Caldwell today. Did some nice things and seems very composed. GWS are so blessed with their talent. They are like a hydra. If they dont win the flag in the next couple yrs, they will never win one.
Probably the most inane comment I've seen here.
Norths last flag was 20 years ago, judge us in 13 years time for any kind of relevance
Sometimes it is awkward to place a 'Like' to a comment because sometimes I like part of a comment, but not the other part, hmmm. I tend to click the 'Like' button thou.
I appreciated the Caldwell comment, I liked the 'Hydra' comment, but with the GWS winning a flag comment is a big call. But you may be right, who knows? :)

There are a lot more likes on here these days. In years gone by it had to be an outstanding post or very funny to get a like.
It doesn't bother me either way. I just post what is on my mind.

Def
Clark, Hore, Logue, Duursma
Mids
Walsh, butters, hateley, gibbons, constable
Fwds
Setters, Drew, Parker

Start there and then fill the gaps
You keen on Logue Tox? Everything I read he may be good player but not score very well regarding SC.

Interested if yourself, Hot Shame or anyone else had any insights on Caldwell game.

What stood out to me was 50% DE and 35% CP, both very low for a midfielder. History suggests injury prone and at U18 Champs DE was 42% from 1 game. Looked to have been decent U16 players, U18 numbers nothing special. Surprising on data alone he went pick 11.

Part of Caldwell's injury issues was getting smashed by Pruess in a practice match against Werribee, which is my understanding as to why he only played 1 U18 Championship match.

I think he had 2 quite serious hamstrings as well, though I’m not sure on the timing of them. I like Caldwell a lot and think he may end up challenging Walsh as the best midfielder to come out of this draft.

“It’s been very frustrating,” Caldwell told foxfooty.com.au when reflecting on his season.

“I’ve done both hamstrings, a kidney and a calf — I’ve been plagued by injuries the last few years. But it’s been good, I’ve learnt a bit about my body and how to be resilient and all that type of thing.

“I’m not glad it happened — but glad it happened before I hope get into the system and know what my body can take and what I need to do to get my body right.

“Your recovery and rehab is vital for your body, your body is a tool — you’ve got to look after it. I’ve taken away heaps from it.”

I don't see any JLT games, so that's why I appreciate the information that is written here.

And there's the degree of like as well to consider, some I really like and others I just like, hmmm. Ideally, if there were more buttons to choose from would show the writer the degree of appreciation, but that sounds messy.
I think the main point is to let the writer know that his efforts are appreciated. (hmmm, '....his efforts...', are there any 'hers' ?

He moves well, positions well and can have an impact, his DE is a worry but a lot of that looked like nereves early on, he settled into the game more as it went on.
He is one of a number of likely ones drafted this year, Hately and O'Halloran especially could take games off him, as may Bonar.
Perryman likely to feature more as well so there are limited positions available that are likely to reward SC owners.
Kelly and Hopper didn't play either.
I'd say he is worth picking if he is picked R1, but I think Hately is likely to be a more SC freindly pick if he gets enough games

Doesn't stack up too bad for an up and coming player ... looking at the top end midfielders from last year with regards to game of 90 or below ...

- Titch ... 4 games (4)
- MacRae ... 2 games but also missed 3 (5)
- Cripps ... 1 game but 4 in the low 90's (5)
- Oliver ... 4 games but 1 in the low 90's (5)
- Fyfe ... 4 games and missed half a season
- Kelly ... 3 games but 2 in the low 90's and missed nearly a third of the season
- Neale ... 4 games (4)
- Treloar ... 2 games but missed half a season
- Coniglio ... 6 games , 1 in the low 90's and missed a game (8)
Also doesn’t get the tag that explains a lot of these other low scores

If anyone is watching the lions hawks game, I would appreciate any observations on who’s taking kick ins for both sides and whether Witherden and Sicily are playing the cheap kick/QB role.

Also where Worpel and McCluggage are playing please!
