I think team boards are a trap in terms of good research. Like
@Bomber18 said recently the supporters tend to overrate the existing 22 from last year and underrate the new players simply because there is no exposed form. The fact is outside West Coast every team needs improvement from last year not just rolling out the setup that got them 8th (or wherever).
Not rookie related but I remember the Freo board all over that $300K defender a lot of us picked (name escapes me). The adulation for him was so OTT but you read it and think they should know ... thing is often the commentary is around what they hope will happen.
I've said before if they are picked R1 that's a good sign as they have a spot to lose.
Also, this notion of a "best 22" is a myth IMO because very rarely to teams have zero injuries. You never know when Wines comes back that someone else is injured.
I just don't look at those team boards anymore because I think it just does your head in getting too many possibly biased opinions.
