Gibbons vs Parker

Every year there's a rookie that everyone picks that takes until the byes to make a pitiful 100-120k max and basically wastes a spot.
Think Pickett, Garlett etc. (any pattern to the fact that they have been Carlton players recently?)

Gibbons feels like 2019s version of that player. Am I silly to leave possibly leave him out?

I Disagree.
Gibbons needs to average just over 50 to make more than $150k by bye time.
If he goes @65 he will make me over $200k

Yeah, have him out as well. Could be a 40-50 player and even 50 means you will be trading him out for $125k gain. Last 25k takes too long to get to.

It's just that it took 3 goals to get 60 in JLT1 and then he got 28 or something in JLT2.

Hey Spangle, how many midpricers are you rolling with this year?

Probably too many.. Only 7 players <$250k on field. I'm currently opting for players I hope can score equal to those at max price in their respective positions. I don't have Macrae, Cripps, Oliver or Grundy in my team at this stage. Doing this means I can squeeze in an additional 1-2 non rookies, but comes with massive risk.

But what if he doesn’t average 50 ?

I understand that he doesn’t need to average much to make decent cash, but as a small forward in Carlton’s forward line he could quite possibly average 40.

Trying a couple of structures one including a midfield mid-price option. Crouch is the injury risk and Libba a form risk depending on where his head is at and whether the rise of Bont, Dunkley, Macrae, Hunter etc all impact him. And Telly could see more midfield minutes and go close to 100 average and most here will know my man-love for Higgins but do I jeopardise hating him for good if he spuds in my SC team

Don't really see Libba as a head space risk .. see ball, get ball, tackle those with it, get my ball back .... liken him to a Kelpie
Got no real idea on the rest ...

- Higgo needs MID time IMO to be viable a option ... but who does he kick out ??
- Brouch is just himself .... if fit and firing that midfield looks very damaging
- Kelly .. wants to head West and a stacked side of MID's ... not sure TBH ... might get a bit more attention this year ... first year is generally a freebee IMO ... 2'nd year we all find out ...
