Macrae, Scrimshaw, Constable
Vs
Sloane (M5), Duursma (D6), Libba (M6)

Some important parts to keep in mind:

With option 1 I’d have 5-0-3 midfield, 1-3-2 defense (including Collins D5 and Scrimshaw/Clark/Hore (D6-D8) and Constable/Atkins/Scott/Gibbons would be M8-M11

Option 2 would see Collins, Duursma and Clark D5-D7, Libba M6 with Butters the infield 8th Midfielder.

Option 1.
Mainly because Collins, Scrimshaw, Clark, Hore seems nicer as a backline than having three rookies on field (though plenty are happy with it, I'm not as bullish: Clarke could make way for Tuohy pretty easily, Duursma could make way for any of a number of returning players, Scrimshaw's coach said he is underdone etc.)
Then again, I'll probably correct everything come R3.

If I had some spare cash to remove some risk, who would go first?
Brodie Smith up to a Witherden/Andrews/Short type
vs
Sloane up to an Oliver/Cripps/Fyfe type

The 3 ‘rookies’ on field are Moore, Collins and Clark though.

Clark, Duursma and Hore are D6-D8

Sloane UP for mine...
Smith could earn some cash and deliver the same score as the 3 listed, to then turn stepping stone in to a T6 defender after you’ve been able to get some knowledge...

Ah didn't realise you had Moore in there as well.

I'm finding this everytime I try and fit in Libba as well - it requires essentially a 'compromised' pick elsewhere: You can take two bigger risks (Sloane, Libba) for potentially greater reward or lesser risks (rookies and the chance Macrae goes bust).
Really just depends on how you rate the three more expensive players, looks the rookies work themselves out anyway.

Sloane up. I personally rate him as a good pick and looks likely to have a good start to the year which could see him get off to a flyer with his AO record and easy draw. However, there is a lot less risk in moving him up to one of the other 3 who all should scorer higher (by how much is the question) with less question marks.

Smith has injury worries but there’s nothing saying those other 3 players or anyone 400-500k will score much better than he will outside of Williams imo.

Libba M6
Vs
Greene F5

Moore D4 in both options
Greene feels like a wait and see. Given how little game time he has seen off an interrupted pre-season I can see him coming out and averaging 75-80, which doesn't hurt you at all if you don't pick him.

If/when he warms up (ie. before he gets injured or suspended again) then it might be time to jump on.

I don't doubt the numbers.
It's just that it took 3 goals to get 60 in JLT1 and then he got 28 or something in JLT2.
50 seems like a best case average?
Personally I think Gibbons will play more mid during the real season than he did JLT. The role he played in JLT was Matty Wrights role last year which I think Fasolo will play this year. My guess is an average around the 60 mark.

The old “how strong is your heart/how big are your cahones” X v Y! Haha
Cogs & Constable for me, but Rocky & Libba seems more fun (both SC and in life haha)

I mean, Rocky and Libba may outscore Cogs and Constable Round 1, but I wouldn't want to bet on their injury history :p.

110 + 60
vs 95 + 90
Over how many games though?

fascinated by all these X v Y's and Rate My Team's (they all look so good) when we all have absolutely no idea on what rookies may or may not be selected for Round 1 , which will then determine our final structure and team.

Might need to come back Wednesday night.
