I'm still constantly going back and forth on TK and Dunkley for F3. I'm certain it'll be one of these guys though.
I've had TK in there for a while because it looks like the coach favours him in the guts over Menegola. Both of them will go 92-100, but which one at which end of that I don't know

But I'm now coming around to Dunkley again because right now all 4 of my Fwd premos have the R13 bye, as well as a stack of other players. If I can't split TK and Dunkley for risk/points a better bye might break the tie.

There seems to be very little love for Dahlhaus this year. He averaged 91.7, 104.5, 95.7 and 90.7 between 2014 and 2017; before dropping right back to 77.1 last year in his last season at the dogs.

I know Geelong have a very deep mid and mid/fwd team, but for $418k with this history, I reckon there's a good chance he gets back over a 90 average and offers great value for a f5 or f6.

Scored well in JLT2.
Sure I read somewhere that GEE said Dalhaus will mainly play as a Fwd. So that's when I crossed him off my list. He doesn't score well as a Fwd.

I like Menegola, proven Centurion, but I am concerned that he may start poorly after his knee clean out in January.

Has anyone figured out the F3 lottery. Possibly the pod across the field, quite a few players could fill that spot.
Edit: Dunkley for me but I have some bias.
Mundy is the obvious one for me. Guaranteed midfield spot and super durable.

Anyone keen on Lynch?

Has murdered the Blues in the past - could win you $1000 for a weekly top score...

... and then torpedo your season!

Better off buying for the last 9 rounds (post-bye) and hoping for 150s v Carlton, Gold Coast and St Kilda! He'll probably be cheaper, fitter and if he did get 450 v those clubs he'd only need to average 75 v the other 6 clubs to average 100 for you!

I think the fact that up until a couple of days ago there was doubts as to whether he'd play VFL or AFL this week tells us all we need to know...he definitely isn't rampagingly fit.

I think a few are scared off on Jack Billings from what he did to us last year. He will be back in my side again this year and here's a few reasons why:

He's priced at an average of 80 from last season at $437,600. Post byes he came home with a 92 average so his first half of the year was a real stinker as we know. I always felt last year (as a Saints fan) that the loss in round 2 to North Melbourne really shook the playing group. Some were giving us a chance at pushing towards finals after a pretty good 2017 season. Billings (along with many others!) just didn't look 100% committed to me - probably a confidence thing more than anything and suffered as a result.

He averaged 92.6 for the whole of 2017 season. The guy is only 23 years old still. It feels like he's been around longer to me. He's got improvement in him and we haven't seen the best of him yet. Added in to the leadership group only recently so the club is definitely right behind him to step up.

All that aside, the biggest factor for me in selecting him this season is a change of attitude. I attended both our JLT games and have been to training a few times this pre-season. He looks a different man out there. Happier, more confident and I think ready to show why he was taken pick 3 in the draft.

I have him, but I doubt he will get a massive score in R1 with no pre-season matches. Expecting he gets a lot of bench time and is eased in the first few rounds.

...Still gets the VC from me. I would regret it too much on the minimal chance he did go 150+ again and I didn't double up on that.

I also have a LOT of risky picks this year, so it's probably best to ignore me completely.

I have Steele is the issue for me. St Kilda are going to be awful this year so I can’t talk myself into getting another (Steele was hard enough), let alone one like billings with his inconsistency and painfulness to watch.

Glad to hear you say that as he has reluctantly ended up in my side after having to pay a bit more for rookies than I would have liked!

Fair enough. I don't have Steele myself as I'm 4-0-4 in the mids so have 4 big guns and then rookies. There's no doubt Steele will have natural improvement in scoring I'm just uncertain what that looks like. When I was toying with different structures including him, I often kept wanting to find that 40-50k more to get him up to the Sloane/MCrouch/Dusty types.

anyone interested in taking the punt on JDG ?

Does he initially replace Tay Tay in the guts ?

Elliott to play the stay at home forward , Beamer , BBQ , Sidey , JT to play the triangulation inside F50 with WHE & Stephenson to play the run Forrest run role
Looks like De Goey will play Fwd for a while.

...…….De Goey also has the ability to be a midfield wrecking ball but his lack of match fitness will ensure he plays predominantly in attack in the early rounds...…….."(Elliott)…….. (is) a little bit older, a little bit wiser, a little bit more mature and understanding and appreciative of the opportunities that come along, so I think he's well placed mentally and emotionally to handle this next phase of his footy career, and physically he's in great shape," Buckley said......

"I think it will be (life as a forward), especially for the first half of the year,"

New role, new opportunity for
@tobiaasmclean
in 2019.

Looking good for Dunkley.
... before the Dogs make their traditional mid/fwd switch, just after sucking us all in?!

What are your thoughts on Jimmy Webster now that Roberton is out? He scored very well last year when he was given that rebounding half back role, is he likely to get that again?
