Mummy isn’t even playing early.
Correct original post has Hoff covering.
Rather convoluted x v y

With the team drops AND Rance injury (he is currently my D2).

I have the following X v Y.

Need to lock in the ruckman this week with the defender as my first trade next week

Mummy & Witherden/May/Adam Kennedy (thanks to Herbie) v Pierce & Hurn/Crisp/Howe/Suckling/McGovern (or one of the defenders named with Mummy).

Mummy being covered by Hoff atm.

Also which of the defenders.

Vs

Oliver and Duursma

Option 2 means 3 rookies from Collins, Clark, Scrimshaw, Duursma and Hore on field. Option 1 means only 2 but 3 of Walsh, Constable, Atkins, Butters, Scott and Hately

Had Constable on field and Atkins with E

Duursma V Wilkie V Burgess V Joyce? I have Duursma at the moment but actually need the extra 6-7k to give me the option of still swapping Sicily to Laird if i want before tomorrow's games. Thanks in advance.

I think Duursma to Burgess would be worth it in order to attain Laird. Particularly if you have Moore.

Probably would rather Duursma but Burgess has better JS. I’ve gone without Duursma due to the risk of a Hartlett return soon.

Any thoughts, anyone?
My preferred defs of those would be Witherden, and Hurn/Witherden.

Other than potentially being the Saints' number one ruck, I'm not really seeing much in Pearce's stats to commend him ... only played four games, only one decent score despite being the main ruck in those 2018 games (Marshall as backup). He scored fairly poorly against Goldy and McEvoy, so his draw might be important if you are to start him.

Personally I thought Mummy was close to a no brainer pick (with risk, but high potential reward) but have cooled a little given talk he may not play every game. I'd rather bring him in in round five (I too have Hoff), but given the options as presented I'd have to go with Mummy.

Have you looked at someone like English?

Oliver and Billings v Zerrett and Dunkley
Z Merrett and J Dunkley.

Z Merrett:
2018:
Disposals: 26.82
SC Avg when disposals equal/exceed 27: 114.92 from 13 (low of 102 and a high of 130, 4/13 120+)
SC Avg when disposals below 27: 79.33 from 9 (low of 17 and a high of 114, 7/9 below 100)
Contested Possessions: 10.64
SC Avg when contested possessions equal/exceed 11: 111.92 from 12 (low of 89 and a high of 130, 3/12 below 100, 3/12 120+)
SC Avg when contested possessions below 11: 86.5 from 10 (low of 17 and a high of 120, 4/10 below 100, 1/10 120+)
Tackles: 6
SC Avg when tackles equal/exceed 6: 108.31 from 13 (low of 79 and a high of 130, 3/13 below 100, 3/13 120+)
SC Avg when tackles below 6: 88.89 from 9 (low of 17 and a high of 121, 4/9 below 100, 1/9 120+)
Time on Ground: 76.41%
SC Avg when time on ground equals/exceeds 77%: 107.4 from 15 (low of 79 and a high of 130, 4/15 below 100, 4/15 120+)
SC Avg when time on ground below 77%: 85.29 from 7 (low of 17 and a high of 118, 3/7 below 100, 0/7 120+)

Excluding his injury affected game last season he has averaged 108.39 from his last 64 matches and in the 1st 8 rounds of 2018 he recorded less than 20 disposals 4 times after 47 consecutive matches amassing 20+.

J Dunkley:
Post Bye Avg: 111.3 from 10 (3/10 below 100, 3/10 120+)
Post bye averaged 27.4 disposals, 6.6 tackles and 10.2 contested possessions.

2018:
Disposals: 21.89
SC Avg when disposals equal/exceed 22: 114.9 from 10 (low of 86 and a high of 157, 2/10 below 100, 3/10 120+)
SC Avg when disposals below 22: 73.11 from 9 (low of 40 and a high of 105, 8/9 below 100)
Contested Possessions: 8.11
SC Avg when contested possessions equal/exceed 9: 120.25 from 8 (low of 94 and a high of 157, 1/8 below 100, 3/8 120+)
SC Avg when contested possessions below 9: 76.82 from 11 (9/11 below 100)

C Oliver's a great pick but Billings dependence on the team's performance in conjunction with his outside style and poor disposal efficiency is the main concern but if you're willing to take on the risk then you could be greatly rewarded.

Decided not to bring in M Gawn and J Scrimshaw for B Grundy and X Duursma but would greatly appreciate any thoughts on which option you prefer for D7 and F7.

A. X Duursma (D7) and C Burgess (F7)
B. J Scrimshaw (D7) and L Schultz (F7)
