NTH leading the I50's count (57-36) may have had a bearing on the Crows defenders.
That’s true. Smith also had good opportunity to kick in from North’s poor kicking. I gather he only stepped out of the square for 2/8 though.

1468 with Burgess, Collins, Parker, Walsh and Cripps to come.... could barely break 2,000 :( Looks like I may have to start using some of the 29 trades left..

in my opinion players like De Boer are a blight on the game. The AFL would do much better to stamp out this behaviour out of the game, rather than continually add quixotic rules.
I value defensive craft, however. Maybe it should be like marking contests where a player has to somewhat have eyes on the ball instead of locked on the player with no intention to win the ball. So hard to police though.

My count had him doing it 3 time...

Seriously though, he looked to be their primary kick-in player after Milera was moved more to an on-ball/HFF role midway through the 3rd quarter.

Do you think Seedsman being out helps Brodie?

I hadn’t viewed him as a likely keeper, so if he happy if he just had a few better scores and could be cashed out for a nice price pre byes.
Maybe, Laird and Smith did ok last night, Milera not so much. Think their scores affect each other game to game slightly, still hoping they can all average close to 95 to maintain their keeper status even if 1/3 has a quieter game every round.

1623/18 C (Neal)
Saved by trading in Neal (C) and Boak this round but just going from bad to worse across the rest of my team. So much fixing needed and too few trades and $’s with which to do it ?

Thanks mate. Maybe having one out near term gives both the medium term spike I’m looking for, and the boost to their season average for those looking to keep them.

Have you heard anything concrete re Dixon?

He’s listed as ‘indefinite’ on the AFL injury list, and I think was listed as something else (but not overly promising) like ‘TBC’ over recent weeks.
Clearly from subsequent responses I am wrong on Dixon. I just had an idea from somewhere he was supposed to be back by rd 6 or 7. However I will continue to put my head in the sand on Westhoff and hope the numbers prove correct.

Hehe - I saw it was 2 out of 8 based on a tweet at one point, couldn’t recall if it was at full time or not though. May well have been three overall.

Hmmm - thanks, that doesn’t sound great.

This suggests he won’t be back in the first half of the year:

Not great for Westhoff owners.
Yeah, not sure how it affects the Hoff, he's playing terrible, whether it's the ball coming into him is not great or he's been thrown around everywhere and doesn't quite know how to deal with it from a consistency perspective. If Dixon did come back earlier, then where would Hoff play?

I think the view was that Hoff was needed more forward with Dixon out. I was aware that he would ruck less with Lycett in, I actually think his best SC scoring role is around the wing (and they just lost a winger in Polec and a mid/forward type in Wingard). If he’s needed as a key forward longer term that may change things for me.

Equally last night Fanfooty listed him as a wing/flank role (their symbols aggregate the positions, which is a bit unhelpful), and he scored his 150 in round one playing as a key forward as I understand it.

I thought he looked poor last night even when he did manage to get near it, which wasn’t as much as I would have thought for a flanker/wing. He wasn’t really clunking big marks and taking long kicks, it was spoiling and reasonably ineffectual disposals to a reasonable extent. Only had five kicks and one recorded tackle.

Thanks Darkie, he's lost $100k now, will he bottom out price wise? will his form improve? might hold again for now, nothing worse than trading out and then form spikes. Agree with your comments about form and positioning.
