Burgess to Hore will now cost approx. $22K, the former with a BE around 45 and the latter -68.
Cheers THCLT, probably not worth it, but really not sure what else can be done with good old Burgo ???

Unsure as yet but several players are on the chopping block (B Scott, C Burgess, J Darling, M Parker and S Collins) and have approximately 110,000. Had initially planned on trading M Parker to T Kelly via S Collins to J Hately in RD7 but could reconsider that alternative and trade J Darling to T Kelly in RD6.

Need to ensure cash generation keeps ticking over to allow avenues J Lloyd, J Macrae and P Cripps this season hopefully sooner rather than later.

It’s never that simple, but I would shy away from locking in the loss on Darling.
Understand the frustration, but would ride that out and focus on your rookies who look to be nearing their peak.

Thanks. Bottom half of the above was more in relation to my current batch of rookies rather than J Darling. Also with him possessing the same bye as my current forward premiums I Heeney and P Dangerfield and likely inclusion before rd13 of T Kelly, it will be another situation to ponder/weigh up.

Darling HAS to go this week just working the best way around it and whether it’s to T.Kelly, Daniels or Walters. The trade to get it done will be 1 of 2 options at this stage:

1) Collins or Clark to Baker (leaving Baker and Drew on the field at F5 and F6)
2) Goldy to T.Kelly/Daniel (allowing Drew to go to M8 or M9 (to rotate with Constable), Setterfield to F7, O’Brien to R2 and Moore to F6.

Which is more advised?

Used my first two trades last week and went a bit crazy with them. Went Gawn -> ROB (successful enough) and Balta -> Marshall (poor score but expected against Max). So still have a bit of a war chest for this week.

Looking at J Clark -> Lloyd and then possibly Scott -> Ross. Really liked the look of Ross the other night but will need to see if it’s worth a trade.
Leaves me with 2 DEF’s to upgrade, Max to come back mid season, 1 FWD. And eventually turning my Constable/Walsh/Smiths into the fallen premo mids.

Both he and Merrett have tonned up 4/5 times this season. With Shiels lowest being 92 against Melb.. Merrett 560k, Sheil 511k ?
Had him last year, was inconsistent, but new team, coach and player dynamics. Going well, I'd leave on your watchlist for now.

Go 1.

2 doesn’t seem worthwhile considering you’ll be taking one of Drew/Constable who are both good scorers. Not worth the trade imo, but still available at a latter date I guess.
