Tempting. Not a bad fixture coming up. With the 132 in his rolling average, and the 9 and 22 falling out in the next two rounds.

Rd 13 bye is yuck up forward though ... could gain $ 100 k by then though and rookie options are looking slim in next few weeks so might need to think out of the box.

I’m looking at getting Darling and Westoff and having them at F6/F7.

Tossing up the following as a trade in target this week (likely to move Walsh on):

Bont - Best average, still a reasonably low BE, good bye round, uses ball very well (benefiting from new rules?) but has been stuck forward in the past... (Only 6.6% of top 5k have him)
Macrae - Had a huge year last year, good bye as well, hasn't been as 'crucial' this year for his team seemingly... Also less of a POD (owned by over 50% of top 5k)
Treloar - Needs heaps of ball to get a good score, Adams out might help, mediocre bye, easy run of games coming up. (9.4% of top 5k)
J Kelly - Underpriced for what he can score, injury concern with his groin, very easy run of games coming up pre-bye. (>1% of top 5k)


Having written this all out I'm leaning towards Bont, however not having Macrae might become a negative POD pretty quickly if he goes on a tear like he did last year...
According to (and trusting in) my pre-season expectations it has to be Macrae who 'should' revert to the mean and average higher from here...
Haven't really even considered Fyfe, not 100% sure why, it just doesn't feel right...

Mids: Neale, Cripps, Oliver, M Crouch, Rocky, Libba, Walsh..... last spot looped between Atkins/Gibbons/Hayes/Scott

Thoughts?!

I’d pick Fyfe tbh. You can argue he has durability concerns but all of Treloar (hammies), Macrae (hammy), Bont (hip) and JKelly (groin) also have had fairly serious injuries of late.

Fyfe really is averaging 127 without that concussion game.

I like Bont from that list but as @Bomber18 said I would also consider Fyfe.

Im looking at either Macrae Vs Bont for trade in this round. I like Bont as a player better but Macrae is probably the safer option.

Any more input on Macrae Vs Bont? Hard to pick between the 2

Macrae solely for his near on 150 average in Ballarat and even if last year was a spike year he’s still severely underpriced at the moment compared to the start of the year.

Marshall highest score this season (ever) is 119.
Hoff highest score this is season is 149.

Hoff has a higher ceiling, Marshall seems to have better consistency though. Add to that, Westhoff hasn't missed a game in 5 seasons and Marshall didn't play round 1 and missed round 6.
