Very strange deal, Can only assume we intend to take just 1 pick in the draft and are trying to get that as high as possible... But a 6 pick increase isn't much.
Been a weird trade period for your mob so far mate, had the best recruiting in the league the last few years IMO so they must know what they’re doing.

Yeah it certainly has been, We are usually pretty conservative as a club, but this year went all in on Tim Kelly which is understandable. After having a few days to reflect on it... I still think we gave up too much, but we are in our flag window now, and we rarely have A-Grade mids nominate us and want to come home... So we just had to pounce and make the most of our chances in 2020.

If I was to guess, I'd say we are taking only 1 player in the draft, and upgrading Francis Watson & Harry Edwards to the main list... That will be our 3 picks as the rookie upgrades count as a pick.

Brady Rawlings has been fantastic these last few years, He will be a big loss I reckon. His trading with Gold Coast & Sydney in-particular in 2017 & 2018 allowed us to basically get Oscar Allen & Liam Ryan for free and pick 24 from this years draft that was thrown into the Kelly deal also for free. Big shoes for new list manager Darren Glass to fill.

List wise I reckon we have really good FWD & DEF youth coming through with Rotham, Watson, Brander all ready to take over from Hurn, JK & Jetta as they retire. Cameron can step up and cover Rioli. Bailey Williams coming along nicely as a RUC/FWD (he surprisingly has a bigger leap than Nic Nat). Midfield youth is a bit of a worry though as Shuey & Redden get on in age. But really hard to get elite mids without top 10 picks and bottoming out.

We are all in at the moment which is a great place to be as a fan. Just need to work harder during the season to lock in that top2 or top 4 spot as it really cost us this year.

You wonder if we bundled up all those trades, would someone trade their no.1 pick. Not sure they would, which can suggests the points system is a little overrated.

Funny move up the ranking on that last trade swap.
