Playing around with a less “mid priced” team, quite like it:

Laird, Sicily, Doch, Hill - 2 on field “rookies”
Macrae, Neale, Fyfe, Danger, Cripps - 3 OFR
Grundy, Gawn
Whitfield, Walters, Dusty - 3 OFR

does Macrae to Ward give you enough $$$ to keep the likes of Rowell , Young , Flanders , Starcevich , Cockatoo etc price types ?

That team has Rowell, Starc and Cockatoo. Problem is it has 4 under 110k...

Can’t see me shifting Macrae.

It's fun trying to work them all in , I try not to use the under 110k players as I rather go down in the end rather than up.

Plenty of time to play around.

How about a side where 19/22 players have averaged 90+ on 2 or more occasions (M Rowell, M Pickett and I Rankine are the only ones that haven't).

This team is much, much safer!

PS With 15 down to 13 non rookies these two teams kinda bookends the risk spectrum of most teams being posted...

Does safe win you $ 50k though ?

I guess though like a lot have pointed out , the "real" game is in trading , and that's where the expert coaches shine through.

Think I'll stick with this lineup until praccy matches arrive.
Prefer TJL over Devon at this stage.
Don't have more expensive rookies yet. May have to downgrade Dyl Rob to get Rowell/ Young in if they look like must haves.
Bye rounds look like 2-7-4

What are peoples thoughts on this?

• Kelly selection depends on fitness
• Rayner is a value selection, a lot can happen between now and when the footy is kicked in earnest
• 3 x R12, 5 x R13, 5 x R14 premium selection
• Prestia is a POD
• Lycett is a value selection

M: Macrae, Neale, Cripps, Danger, Treloar, Rowell, Caldwell, Pickett (McHenry, Robertson, Mahony)
R: Grundy, Gawn (Comben)
F: Whitfield, Dusty, Smith, Alphabet Picket, Cockatoo, Rankine (Brander, King)

Obviously i'd rather take cheaper rookie options if they become available. Smith the gamble.
