another preseason to increase the tank , certainly a lot to like there

and similar price to TJL , but wait that same bloody bye round grrrrr

Scope out a POD?? This rarely ends well.
If you are genuinely keen on someone who’s not overly popular, great, back your instinct and go for it. But don’t ever pick someone or choose one over another just based purely on the fact they aren’t a popular pick.
Based on your own research, viewed progression in games last year and feel that this player is worthy of the selection at their price and is of very low ownership at this point. And no I would t pick someone just to be different for difference sake.

Does that mean Acres will cover a lot of ground....
Blake Acres (Fremantle, $384.4k)
2019 average: 70.8 (19 matches)
Ownership: 1 per cent
One for the risk-takers. Like Greenwood, Acres was played out of position at his former club, spending 55 per cent of time as a forward in 2019. His scoring suffered as a result, slumping to his lowest season average since 2015. Acres began the 2018 season as a midfielder, averaging 106 points across the first five rounds. The 24-year-old is set to take up a midfield role at the Dockers and is set to fill the vacant wing spot left by runner Brad Hill.
“(Justin Longmuir) was pretty keen on the wing role for me and I was pretty happy with that,” Acres said in October after crossing to the club. Another to keep a close eye on the pre-season at that price.

EDIT: just did a quick calc, if he averaged 106 for the first 5 rounds, his next 14 games he went at 58

Dusty has missed 7 in his career.
Ablett has missed 7 or more in 4 of his last 6 seasons.

Not even close to comparable.
fair enough , see what happens in 2020

Whitfield has missed 6 & 7 in 2 of his last 3 seasons , better scratch him as well

But I think those missed games were not game/training injury related except for when did his collarbone in a game last year and missed 3(?) weeks.

Suspension in 2017 that's right.

Outside the Top 4 could be some interesting players to take a punt on , or just play safe and pick 3 out of the 4 from the start.

Don't think he's gonna get reoccuring appendicitis anytime soon.
Can't say the same for Gaj's shoulder falling out.
true

not sure how many times collarbones can re-break either ? , if I was the opposition I would be trying to find out though

I thought the appendix was during the finals , think Footywire only uses games tally during the H & A season.
