My reasoning is that I couldn't justify paying 600k for a FWD ... but am willing to do so for a MID.

But as you say I could position him in the FWD line if I wanted too ... but that is not the structure I'm looking to start with ...
If you end up with say Bonar in your forwards then the only difference to other teams is you’d have one less pure mid rookie and one more forward rookie I think. If it’s the last rookie on each line it probably won’t matter but normally the mid rookie > forward rookie. In any event we can’t solve these things now until we know which rookies to pick.

Each to their own but I don't like going cookie cutter .... so to extrapolate on each line ...

D1 - 4 have all demonstrated that they can go 85+ in season runs before ... not quite enough but I will take it ...
M1 - 6 have all demonstrated that they can go 110+ in seasons before ... good enough for me ...
R1 - 2 have all demonstrated that they can go 120+ in seasons before ... good enough for me ...
F1 - 5 have all demonstrated that they can go 85+ in season runs before ... not quite enough but I will take it ...

Technically no rookies on field this year but still a few weeks to go !!

But potentially 17 players that "could" be around the mark .... but don't expect to keep all of them !!

So you did not have Danger as a fwd last year? That is a question not an accusation:unsure:

Actually I did from memory ...

But each year presents a different set of options ... all part of the "mind" games IMO ...

Well you could put him as M 6 then have a M/F rookie as F8 and after one round swap them over. That bypasses the mental block and you are guilt free for the rest of the season ;)

Mental block .... not worried with my thought process as it currently stands ... you however seem to have a pre conceived agenda ..

You only want your mids to go 100+?

Excuse the pun but I'll see you in the Tails end.

No rookies on field?

You mean no first year players?

You sound very set on structure before we’ve seen any pre season and the rookies. You’ll keep an open mind on structure?

I like the approach , look forward to seeing your team if you stick to the above.

Your missing F/M link if required could be very well in the team you support ?

Hit me with it. I like it rough.
I haven't seen too many (if any) with someone like Danger at M6, and Docherty at D4, a little light Fwd but I can see why you've done it.

All in all, a very strong team with not too much risk that should see you pretty high in the rankings early with the possibility of only having to upgrade 6 players.

Not going to talk you out of the structure BC, you obviously have reasons.

Why Draper over Comben? May cost you a trade down the track if you want Draper as a cow, but harder to take advantage of early Grundy VCs and you lose the flex if say Ceglar becomes a backup ruck option.
