This is where I'm at for now, though it depends on what rookies show themselves for Rd1
Not sold on Fritsch either, will probably turn into someone else.

Hey guys. Please have a look.
Sicily due to hope that Role stability improves his scoring this year
Houston role change
Doch - obvious

Mids - all elite with jkelly as a risk but I’m willing to take

Set and forget rucks

Whitfield - tossing your between him and dusty and I can see dusty spending more time forward

Parish and patracca - f2 and f3 ( some years f3 and f4) is where I like role change/break put risks. Both high draft picks with some upside. Both on my watch list prior to marsh 1

Rookies I have tried to have a good mix in prices. Subject to change but I feel with the money spent on rookies I should be able to cope with most situations.... no point having a a great looking team in feb/early March with 117k rookies and u end up in a meltdown 5 minutes before rolling lockout....

7 on field first year players stands out to me

This is very GnR but I worry you’ll have too many points black holes before you get upgraded

I feel you need to can one of Gawn or Whitfield to steady up the bottom end of your scoring 22 each round.

There are $200k options you can use here you don’t have to go into the $300k space which you seem to have intentionally avoided

I’m not sure the rookies will present to the extent you would need here

YEESSSSSSSS now this what I’m talking about. Love it!
For me maybe Weller over Crisp around that price but only because I was sort of burnt by Crisp last year, more scolded though, but love him as a player. Maybe CD show him some love this year and he can return to 95+.Gr8t team, well done.

Thanks for the positive vibes and I have enough coin left if I need to do miner changes depending on rookies .

I'm currently stuck with the idea of starting without 3 of the most popular picks in dusty, whitfield and docherty

Dusty historically starts the year slow and has been spending a lot of time forward with great success (not from a supercoach standpoint). I think he is still a must have but will bottom out and is a great trade target

Whitfield is purely from playing away a lot at start of season and being over-priced, definitely the one that could hurt the most but i see him hovering the mid to low 500k pricetag all year, 610k is too much compared too the players i can get in the mids for similar prices

And docherty has been out for 2 years and will almost definitely start slow and will almost definitely be managed through the year with his injury, thats if he avoids re-injuring.
He didnt injure it in afl intensity either time so i'd definitely rather watch him prove himself until to byes or reap the rewards when he starts slow and then misses a game early on

I feel like its too against the grain considering their ownership so would like some opinions please
Depends on your definition of slow for Dusty. Last year his first 5 games came in at 87.8 but in 2018 they ave 124.8 and in 2017 ave was 115.6. However it is true that he goes walkabout for 3 or 4 games in a row at least once or twice a season. Therefore he can drop a lot in price and can be a pickup target.

Whitfield will probably drop in price but he will be (excluding inj) the highest ave fwd so probably pick him now and get it over and done with. Like Macrae in the mids.

Docherty is not in my team. I see him at 95 for the season but I am willing to give him a few games first to see where he is at. If he goes bonkers with 4 big tons in a row then that is a result I have already accepted as possible and you just move on. Hoping however he works his way into form and I don't miss much at all by not having him.

Good team. Can’t see a glaring weakness........except no Dusty. Change one of your ‘premos’ to him and you’re sorted!

one thing i noticed is the scoring of martin when jack riewoldt played alongside lynch, his avg was 101.3 with 2 tagged games for scores of 66 and 62 against pies and gws. taking those low scores out was an avg of 112 in 7 games

Thanks for the feedback. My thoughts around dusty is that given he plays Thursday night it will be hard to know which rookies get named. If I’m more confident about lower priced rookies then parish becomes dusty.

Thanks for the feedback. All the rookies are place holders and if some lower priced options become available I can move a few of the higher end ones to a Roberton or even a dev smith/Brayshaw type player. It’s just very dependent on rookies. Whitfield could become dusty to also facilitate this if extra cash is needed if the lower priced rookies don’t get named. Having a move A,B,C is always good as the rolling lockout comes around.

Well one thing we know for sure is that Levi Greenwood, who I think is a good mate of Dusty and usually tags him, won't be playing round 2.

Can’t really fault it except for the absence of Devon Smith. Think he has to be a lock given his discount.

Kelly and Titch both a bit of an injury risk, might be worth getting one more reliable guy like Danger or Oliver
What are you expecting from Devon Smith in terms of price and game count?

Expecting him to average enough to be a forward premium (90 ave),though there is a decent chance he will get injured, which would make him a cash cow (about 120k). While that's no more cash than a rookie, there is a chance you will save a trade if he becomes a premium, and no chance he will get dropped (which often means a rookie ends up making $0-50).
