Swans could be resting some players this week
Hawthorn and Geelong have sealed the top 23 positions.
Freo is unlikely to lose to StKilda.
So whether the Swans win or not, they will finish 4th this year.

Back to focus on this week's Grand Final.
Although no trades left but the selection of the VC and C is of the utmost important this week, could ultimately decide the contest.
Facing my opponents who will likely put a (C) on Griffen and he's due for a 166 points score against Melbourne.

Two Leagues where the first place finishers this year were knocked out to the Semis by my team in the First week of Finals, and they have worked their way back to extract vengeance this week.

My team will have to score 2400+ to have a winning chance and it's a tall mountain to climb.
My team this week will be the underdog with players like Duffield, Dixon, Scotland, Houli, Pavlich, Mundy going up against Shaw, Hanley, Griffen, Bartel, Goldstein, Deledio, Barlow, Roughead.

Friday can't come quick enough...............

Yeah will be a big factor in GF. My concerns is are what to do with my two trades if I have
no outs this week. Do I downgrade Kreuzer to a Zac Clarke and upgrade a mid who is struggling like
JPK or lids. Or do I sideways Birchall against Sydney for a R. Murphy. Will have to check which PODs I have against opposition

Check out your opponent first.
Birchall will be tagged by the Swans.
Kreuzer should play this week and is capable of outscoring Clarke.
JPK loves to play the Hawks

From ABC News Online -

Interchange rotations to be capped at 120 a team next AFL season

The number of interchange rotations will be capped at 120 a team from next season, under new rules introduced by the AFL.

The cap will not include the use of a substitute or changes made between quarters.

Teams will be penalised with a free kick and a 50-metre penalty for every rotation over 120.

The decision was made at the AFL Commission meeting at Docklands in Melbourne, a meeting that has been dominated by negotiations over the Essendon supplements saga.

The change has been touted for some time, but it was unclear how far the AFL would go to limit the use of the bench.

The AFL's football operations manager Mark Evans says the new rule will put a stop to increasing number of rotations being made.

"In 2012 and in the first half of 2013 interchange numbers averaged approximately 130 per game," Mr Evans said.

"Many in the industry have suggested interchange rotations had reached its natural maximum and that any further increases would be counter-productive.

"Over the past four-six weeks it appears that interchange numbers are once again on the rise, averaging 135-140 per game," he said.

The AFL is also considering easing penalties for players who accidently run onto the field too early while making a rotation.

And the rules committee continue to wreck our game...
The game will evolve again.
The only positive I can see out of it is that the 'gun' midfielders will push forward and spend more time resting the the forward line (hopefully being able to snag a few goals) rather than going off for heaps of quick spells. Guys like Jobe and Pendles already do it regularly but will be interesting to see how it affects Swanny who is on and off constantly.

Why is Swanny going off and on?
Checking a mirror on his tattoos?

He goes on and off constantly throughout a game, on TV you probably don't see it as good as you do watching him at the ground.
He might only go on and off for 20 or 30 seconds, Collingwood won't be able to waste as many interchanges on him next season with the new cap, meaning when he needs a rest he should push forward, much like most of the gun midfielders (hopefully).

Forfeited their spot in finals. $2 million fine, Mark Thompson $30,000 fine. Hird 12 month suspension as of August 25th. Loss of rd 1and 2 picks this season and round 2 pick next season lost too. Big Consequences. Gets a pick next season straight after round one of draft finished.

Strong stance by the AFL but fair in my mind. The ability to trade into the draft i think was key.

Honestly, just happy to move on.
