I wouldn't worry too much - the picture will become clearer with this marsh series round and leading up to round one where the media will be watching training sessions like seagulls waiting for a chip to see who is working with the "best 22" in drills.
There are also a number of second year players priced below 200k who we all know will get a game before too long because they're too good not to.
What last year's mess with Hore taught me is that you need to go with your gut on rookies, based on what you know about team needs and how a rookie might fit into a team structure, even if some of them don't get a game in round 1.
All good I have locked in my 3 Carlton & Richmond players for the time being until their teams are announced on the Wednesday , will then adjust if any rookies look like must haves.
Watch the game , check the rest of the Round 1 teams , lock in my Collingwood and Western Bulldogs players , watch the game , then stay awake all Friday night trying to piece together the rest of the jigsaw.
At the moment I have scrubbers at D4-8 & F4-8 as monetary place holders.
