I can't help but feel we are all been greedy by selecting Green. Seems we are only seeing big rookie points and pushing aside the super packed midfield team he plays for and the likely hood he doesn't get a run of 5-7 consecutive games and ends up sitting on the bench waiting for a GWS star to get injured. My gut is saying don't be greedy.
Thats where i think Anderson is the better pick even if u have to pay more should get 7-8 in a row

Suspect Caldwell , Hately , O'Halloran , Shipley etc might also be pushing their claims for a spot.

Not sure how people expect Ash & Cumming to fit in with the likes of Heater , Kennedy , Don't Pay & Zac Attack (when he returns).

Think they have probably 24-26 to fit into 22 even before Ward returns.

Be a interesting team reveal.

I wonder if Anderson & D Stephens might be "safer" starting picks.
I have Cumming in my team at the moment waiting to see who gets the spot - I reckon both are good selections.

I think they have about 6-9 fighting for 3 spots at the Giants depending whether Williams plays or not.

Rowell , Anderson , Stephens , Green , Pickett + 1 might be the better way to line up or even go 4-0-7 if Ash/Starcevich/McInerney/Robertson/Mahony/Budarick are named

need to follow the rookies

I'll sling Stephens to Serong if he gets the call

Currently running a GNR setup with a few higher priced rookies than previous years.

D: 3-0-5
M: 5-0-6
R: 2-0-1
F: 3-0-5
All the guns in def/fwd line above $500k, $600k mids and GG?

Can see how it gets done, just gets thin elsewhere.

I oscillate between 8/9 of the most expensive players (5+gg+whits and dusty) plus lots of 380-500k players, then down to $220k and below.

Lately I've been finding that every new team I put together is leaning towards going skinny down back.

Latest version I just popped out on the commute home (numbers are premos + MP's + rookie-priced players < $250k).

DEF - 2 + 1 + 5, Doc at D2, Zerk at D5 + 3 rookies < $150k

MID: 5 + 0 + 6, Kelly at M1, Rowell at M6 + 5 rookies < $200k

RUCK: 2 + 0 + 1, GG + Comben

FWD: 1 + 4 + 3, Dusty at F1, Devon at M5 + 3 rookies < $150k

Anyone else finding themselves leaning toward going a bit skinny on the DEF line?

yes, with the variation of fwd being 2-3-2 or 1-4-3 being our only difference.

Could definitely catch people out if enough mid rookies don't get named. Starting donuts on the mid bench is a bad idea.
At least someone agrees ?

I have been posting about that enough , so will give it a rest now.

Who knows maybe enough rookies get named to start the all rookie midfield.

Still like the idea of using a Anderson type at M9 to act as a "anchor" although read somewhere where it might be out of him and Sharp for one spot , so who knows.

I also don’t mind Anderson M9 if the cheaper options don’t get named. I think Swallow has said that Anderson will play in R1 already.

DAVID SWALLOW (Gold Coast): I’d say most of them would be. ‘Ranks’ will play, Matt (Rowell) and Noah (Anderson) will play and probably one to keep an eye on is Connor Budarick, he might be a bit of a bolter for SuperCoach.

Greenwood , Ellis , Rowell , Anderson & Budarick

wow

throw in McLennan , Sharp & Flanders.

Budarick & Mahony might be a worthwhile F/M link up

Really hope Rankine gets on the park.
