So with the hypothetical shortened games would this give the inflated scores we used to get in the preseason round robin games?

Trying to spit out 3300 points in less time. Was this a tangible thing? (from memory they there were larger squads too).

I’m thinking mores 150’s for players always in the action (maybe games considered closer for longer relative to % game time) and more 20’s rather 50’s for KPP not effecting scoreboard.
That seems like a real possibility. I also wonder if game plans will be adjusted to allow for a busier schedule. Perhaps a bit more chipping around and mids being rotated even more?

A negative result doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have it. They just haven't been able to find it. Most of the testing is done by taking a swab in the nostrils but the virus has been found elsewhere in the body. It is most likely he doesn't have it but not 100% so he should still be isloated for two weeks. This is the advice given to someone I have spoken to who was given a negative result but still told to self isolate.
So a negative test result could mean positive? With that way of thinking a positive result could be negative.?.

You would think with less rest days between fixtures a 6-8 player bench could be worthwhile. Personally I think it’s 4 weeks before RD1. Have time for this to run its course and re-plan the fixture schedule.

It won’t run it’s course though in 4 weeks. If anything I think it peaks in 4-6 weeks at which time it might be full shut down everywhere and they still won’t get to start. I think the AFL are planning around there being 1-2 decent breaks (4-6 weeks) during the season hence the 5 less games.

The whole Corona thing is pretty surreal.
Germany, Switzerland, Austria all getting closer to lockdown, France already further down the line, Spain with curfews and empty streets, Portugal with cases on the rise.
Schools shut, only essential services and public transport still running.
No-one pulling knives on each other over toilet paper yet, but there's time enough if they're good enough. Need a big last quarter.

I know I am coming in late, but just curious if anyone has a highly-competitive league with a spot I can fill? I have been planning since last year, I just haven't been around here much and I'm currently only in my one league with friends. In my five years of competitive SuperCoach, I have finished top 1000 twice and have only missed the top 10k once (2019 - 10,001). If you have a spot, please let me know, I won't let your league down!

pretty sure Erin Phillips said they had 4 options proposed to them

* cancel the season
* stop the season
* play the finals now
* play the GF straight away

or continue on as is

KFC SuperCoach and new tips.com.au competition to go ahead in 17-game AFL season

KFC SuperCoach and the new $1 million tips.com.au competition will go ahead for the AFL’s revamped 17-round season.
The AFL announced a reduced season on Monday to cope with the impact of the coronavirus.

But the exciting message is, KFC SuperCoachand tips.com.au are ready to go for Round 1, so you can still sign up to take on your mates and compete for great cash prizes.

The unusual circumstances will force some changes on the game, but it will still be the same SuperCoach we know and love.

The last four rounds of the home-and-away season — now set to be Rounds 14-17 — will be the KFC SuperCoach finals series.

— If a season is completed the $50,000 major prizes for both KFC SuperCoach and tips.com.au will be awarded as normal, plus runner-up prizes. Weekly prices will be awarded for any completed rounds.

— The 17-game fixture will not feature any byes, so special bye round rules will not apply.

KFC SuperCoach is flexible and can respond to major changes during the season.

Number of trades may be adjusted to accommodate a compressed fixture or the possibility of increased team changes. Details to be confirmed.

Player prices will be adjusted as usual, but there may be changes to when the changes take effect.

More will be known when the AFL reveals full details of its revised fixture. When decisions are made, we’ll pass them on to the SuperCoach community.

And we’ll give you tips to pick your team based on the latest changes. Every KFC SuperCoach player is in this together, now we have a new challenge that gives everyone a shot at SuperCoach glory. Good luck!

This could be a game changer ?

7. ROOKIES WILL STILL CHANGE IN PRICE, POSSIBLY AFTER TWO GAMES

We’re still working through the finer details, but rookies still have a role to play. As stated above, cash generation is going to be tricky, particularly when making mid-season downgrades. However, price changes may take effect after two matches instead of three to compensate for five less rounds being played. This is still being discussed and we’ll keep KFC SuperCoaches informed about any rule changes.

Charlie Comben might not be the ruck loophole to capitalise on Max Gawn or Brodie Grundy going big anymore.

Sorry, I'm still trying to get my head around all this, what do you mean here?
