Sorry, I'm still trying to get my head around all this, what do you mean here?
That would’ve been a pic caption I’m tipping. Here’s the rest of it.

Charlie Comben might not be the ruck loophole to capitalise on Max Gawn or Brodie Grundy going big anymore.8. FORGET CHARLIE COMBEN BEING THE BEST R3 LOOPHOLE

Dual-position status and a swag of Sunday fixtures made North Melbourne's Charlie Comben ($117,300, RUC-FWD) the best ruck loophole of 2020. But KFC SuperCoaches will need to do another set of analysis when the 17-round fixture is released to determine if that’s still the case. It would be handy for coaches if bargain-basement big man Matthew Conroy ($102,400) picked up a few extra Sunday games to be used for the captaincy loophole.

If price changes occur every 2 games that probably favours a GnR type set up. Not sure if the MN is adjusted but even so, think we’d have no troubles finishing our teams now.
So price changes will be more inflated either poitive or negative through a 2-round average? One good game and loads of cash but a low scoring game more pain? Or are they just saying price changes will commence a round earlier but still working on a 3 round average?

I'm so confused, has taken me over 10 years to get my head around the game and now I'm back where I started

I think it will be same as the BBL and they will work off 3 round averages.

Those more familiar can correct me if I’m wrong but the first “score” would be what the player is priced at ie 20-30.

They haven’t confirmed and suppose if it’s based off the BBL formula where (iirc) the change after 2 games was not as significant as the change after 3 because it was based off a 3 game average then perhaps it’s not as much of a game changer as I first thought when I read it.

I originally took it as 2 game and heavy swings but now that I think about what they did with BBL, possibly (probably) not :(

It does create issues, you won't get a second look at players, any correction trades will need to be done R2 rather than R3 if you want to beat any price rush. This isn't too bad for rookies, not ideal, but will make it hard to jump on or off the right mid-priced options. Makes initial starting team even more important.

It all makes for a fun year doesn’t it :D

I actually don’t mind all the unknowns. Feels like SC is pretty much the same every year and if you deviate from GnR you get punished hard. At least this year, we won’t know what the right formula is until it’s over so we can have some fun with it.

I don't see why cash generation will be slower or why a full team will be harder to achieve?
The only thing I can see changing from 5 less games is the need to be at the pointy end earlier.
Haven't seen many saying that full premo wouldn't be achieved / would be harder to achieve
Most seemed to be saying that reaching full premo would come later relative to the end of the year using the traditional approach (which might be o***et by price movements after two games to an extent).
Some took that as a cue to thinking about increasing the proportion of underpriced value picks to get off to a better start and hope to be able to maintain a lead over GnR-based sides.
Extreme view would be that GnR teams could take themselves out of the equation in leagues by starting slowly.
That was more how I read the conversation. Not saying I'm right.

So AFL are saying they are leaving the final decision on round 1 until tomorrow, it's off I reckon, will be too much pressure from other codes.

I'm going fishing

Now it hasn't happened either yesterday or today, I'm actually thinking they will go ahead with R1. If they were going to call it off, seems crazy to do so one day before the first match.

It should be called off, it is not a good look that they are trying to push on when everything else is being postponed, but I'm expecting it to happen now. I would rather it be postponed, better for all involved.

I can't help but feel the AFL what to sneak in round 1 if they can, to get at least 9 games ticked off.

Tell you what, if your team has a shocking performance this weekend, and then you have to wait 6 or 7 weeks for your next game.....it is going be an excruciating long wait!!!
