To be honest , I have no idea how to set up a team now , treat it like a normal season , try and plan a team for a early weekly prize or a shortened season.
Yeh i have my A-team and my B-team(just for fun team). 1 for the long haul and 1 for the week to week top score just in case. Just waiting on whether the afl starts as scheduled or postponed/shortened.

Good idea , but what if they play the first few rounds and then cancel/suspend which team do you start ?

Not sure about Rookies obviously. Cheap rookies are go, then we climb the R2 tree.

Also, possibly this is a little too raw. Apologies if the above offends - I guess I have become a little desensitised to it all. Hot tip? Wear a mask, wash your hands, and be bloody polite and fair to each other... Has done wonders for stopping 2109-nCoV where I am.

Here is my final team i am confident in for Round 1 (if there is a round 1)
I might make some adjustments for rookies depending on whose named
All feedback welcome

Bold move picking Aish , never been a big and consistent SC scorer , first team i have seen with no Grundy / Gawn and i would go Sicily over Houston .
Interesting forward line set up , good luck for the season

I think he may have been a reasonable selection before he got injured. He was recruited for a reason I guess, but I guess 1 PS game (as good as it was), makes him a fairly risky selection IMO.

certainly don't love this but might be the best options all considering

D: Dan Houston [MID] , Jordan Dawson [FWD] , Sam Docherty , Dylan Roberton , Lachlan Ash [MID] , Brandon Zerk-Thatcher / Tobe Watson , Bailey Williams

M: Jack Macrae , Josh Kelly , Patrick Cripps , Josh Dunkley , Marcus Bontempelli , Matthew Rowell , Noah Anderson , Aiden Bonar [FWD ]/ Tom Green , Marlion Pickett , Connor Budarick [FWD]

R: Brodie Grundy , Max Gawn / Tristian Xerri [FWD]

F: Tom J. Lynch , Andrew Brayshaw [MID] , Jack Steven [MID] , Devon Smith [MID] , Jarrod Brander [DEF] , Mitchell Georgiades / Izak Rankine , Curtis Taylor

$ 4,300.00 in the Bank

0-4-4
5-0-6
2-0-1
0-4-4

no Whitfield could hurt big time

hopefully cheaper options are selected so I can remove Anderson & Bonar

Noble seems more popular than Cumming here. Is it just the perceived job security? Cumming seems to have the higher ceiling. Would people flip if Cumming is played alongside Williams rnd 1

Hey FT,

Structure wise it's OK. I see a minimum 8 upgrades to do, which in a regular season would be about right.

The thing that worries me is that it is unlikely to be a regular season.

I guess the good thing is you don't have to worry about getting a Gawn/Grundy type. But with 17 rounds, are you going to have enough time and cash to get to full premium team?

I don't know the answer, but I do suspect not.

Nice team, I won't comment on players as much of that is personal preference. Well done.

Thanks for your thoughts Deeman , i really would be interested to see what changes you would make to my team , have $68,800 left and it's good to get an outside view every now and then

It's probably difficult to advise, without a full restructure. 70k is not much to work with.

Your forward line is much like mine. In DEF I have Roberton at D5 and only BZT as my only on field rookie in DEF and Brander is my only rookie FWD.

I don't have Gawn currently running Naismith at R2.

I have currently gone for more value players in the MID with Macrae at M1 and Oliver at M2.

As I said before I don't necessarily have all the answers, but you need to go with what ever you are comfortable with.

I took Robertson out and placed in Cummings based on Cummings game/s recently

Can't will myself to take Gawny out , could strengthen the backs if no Gawn but

Recently replaced Macrae with Mitchell and Cogs for Oliver

Thanks for the feedback Deeman , appreciate it

We may not have to worry about our teams if it doesn't go ahead , heard anymore on this
