Well, that just confirmed any doubt at all there was of David's win. As I said, Sharn wouldn't flip, and she just pretty much ensured 3 more votes for David in the end.

Shonee did play well, as she said herself, just was on the wrong side of the numbers at merge.

There was one way that Brooke could have saved AK tonight. She could have said its either me going to fire or we go to rocks. She would have had at least a 20% chance of being picked and then she could have thrown the challenge and let AK win.

But then again she also jeopardizes her top 5 chance if she did do this.

Love that second tribal in Winners at War tonight. Saw it coming a mile off, and it cost her a fire token, but that's a proper blindside from Denise, not the "blindside" we usually get.

Hahaha I saw it from a mile away too. Sandra got outplayed hard. Denise very underrated.

I feel like with this season... any old school player or someone who has played more than twice before this season are all at a disadvantage. All on extinction so far meet this criteria except for Natalie.

Just watch this episode, how good was it from Denise. Saw it coming from a mile away as a viewer, but great to see nonetheless.

Not sure if it was clear to everyone, but I reckon Brooke got lucky on the last challenge with the puzzle. The way her blocks happened to fall out of the bag was not far off the first word of the puzzle, and it fell into place from there.

She still did really well, just had a bit of a hand from Lady Luck that time.

Lots of balance challenges this time around (another tonight) - feels like more than normal.

Predictable episode.

Good on Brooke for getting immunity, she has had a lot of challenges which suit her, plus the puzzle last episode was luck as Darkie said.

Odds from BetEasy (one of the few things you can still bet on):

Wow! My immediate reaction was that I would lay him probably even at longer odds.

The main thing holding me back would be his edit.

Hard to see how he even gets to the final without winning challenges though?

Also can anyone explain:

- how the final three works, and

- why at some Tribal Councils they vote a second time when there’s a tie, at others they go to fire, and the other night they nearly went to rocks?! I’m sure there’s a simple explanation but I must have missed it.

So basically for the Australian final 3, they have one last immunity challenge and the winner of that votes out one of the other two and ultimately decides who they get to sit with at the final 2. I've said it for years that the Australian version needs to follow the US version and make it a final 3 to sit with a jury instead of 2 because that last challenge is always a brutal physical challenge and if you aren't good at that but you've played the best game of survivor the whole season... you're basically no chance of winning.

So in case of a tie. Let's use the Jacqui and Mo example from last week. It was 4-4 on the first vote so now Jacqui and Mo aren't allowed to vote on the re-vote... and the others are only allowed to vote for Jacqui or Mo.

If on the re-vote it's a tie again... They get one last chance to vote out one of Jacqui or Mo but it needs to be unanimous by the remaining 6 ppl. On the night it ended up being unanimous. But let's just say fpr example that they couldn't get it to be unanimous. It would mean that Jacqui and Mo automatically become immune to being voted out and anyone who have immunities necklace/idols are also immune. So the remaining 4 people would have to draw rocks. Person who picks the odd rock (normally a white rock) goes home.

Normally fire only happens when there is a final four when the vote is split 2-2. However the other night, it was a twist that has never occurred in any survivor that I can recall from memory where they asked if anyone thinks they are at risk... the first person to put their hand up gets to go to fire but if they don't win, they go home. (the 2nd person who was chosen to challenge against AK was safe from being eliminated)

Hope that answers your question. Always happy to answer any survivor related questions. ?

Thanks mate, very helpful!

I think we’ve had a couple of other instances of going to fire (can’t recall if both were at Tribal) - Phoebe beat Lydia, and Mo also beat someone. Were they a tie situation as well?

Also I agree that it seemed clear that Tarzan was going home last night from the edit ... but I wasn’t expecting David to vote for him. I probably only saw 85% of the episode but I thought it was down to his judgment call on whether to play the idol for himself or Tarzan.

Forgot about that one. No it was not a tie, it was a twist when two tribes went to tribal council and each tribe voted someone out and the two who got voted out went to fire to earn their spot back.

David had to save himself in the event that the 3 girls came together to put 3 on him and blindside him. If he still had that 2nd idol I believe there was no way he would have voted for Tarzan.

I think Dave wins the next two immunity challenges and takes Sharn to final two because Sharn has basically lost votes from the jury when she stabbed AK/Shonee/Brooke at that the vote one.

Just saw the ad for tonight it and there's a throwing challenge involved which Dave should be good at. It also shows Dave on the ground crying. Looks like he's crying because he knew he had to win or else he'd go home. (So I'm assuming he does win it.)

Yeah, saw that last night straight after the episode aired. I believe they're trying to mislead people that he's devastated he lost, get the feeling he wins the immunity and it's tears of relief.

Yep 100%, as soon as they showed that clip of Dave crying you knew he has to have won tonights challenge. An obvious edit. Although hats off to them if they have reverse malachied us.
