Today is my personal fav band... Metallica. Been a long time fan of their's and even been lucky enough to meet the band twice over the years, Never get sick of listening to them.

Probably not going to be too popular around here going off songs and bands posted... but there may be a few metal heads out there, lol

First off, a live performance with the late great Cliff Burton on bass!!

Metallica fan here too...! My personal favourite performance was when they performed with a symphony orchestra, what a combo! Enter Sandman is my favourite but they have a lot of great metal songs.

In the next days, if you can think of songs you like that have a colour in the title, or performers name, then you are welcome to include them.
Following the rainbow colours, Tuesday - Red, Wed - Orange, Thu - Yellow, Fri - Green, Sat - Blue and Sun - Purple.

I wonder why McCartney is bringing this up for, hmmm?
Maybe it was just taken out of context and the media is sensationalising?

Paul McCartney reignites rivalry with Rolling Stones insisting The Beatles were better
Sir Paul McCartney has reignited his rivalry with the Rolling Stones, insisting that The Beatles were better.

Sir Paul McCartney has insisted that The Beatles were better than the Rolling Stones, kicking off the rivalry between the two bands once more.

The musician also accused the Stones of imitating his band during the 1960s, The Sun reports.
McCartney, 77, said: “I love The Stones but The Beatles were better. Their stuff is rooted in the blues. Whereas we had a lot more influences.
“Keith (Richards) once said to me, ‘You were lucky man. You had four singers in your band. We got one.’”

McCartney said: “We started to notice that whatever we did The Stones sort of did it shortly thereafter. We went to America and had huge success and then the Stones went to America. We did Sergeant Pepper and the Stones did a psychedelic album. There was a lot of that.”

But he said there was mutual respect and he’s still close to Mick Jagger, 76, Keith Richards, 76, Ronnie Wood, 72, and Charlie Watts, 78.

“We admire each other,” McCartney told US radio host Howard Stern. “It did not matter. It was kind of cool.”

Yeah that's definitely a great concert... The late Michael Kamen did a great job composing the Orchestra accompaniments to go along with Metallica's songs. I'm also looking forward to the Blu-ray release of the S&M² concerts they did this past September. The release has been pushed back a bit due to what's going on, but should be a great show to see them perform with an Orchestra again 20 years after they first did it.

As one of my favourite artists Mike Portnoy says... Music isn’t a contest...there are no “bests”, only “favourites”.

But between The Beatles & The Rolling Stones... I much prefer The Beatles.

Back, way back, in 1969 when I was a teenager, I remember Deep Purple, who is considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, performed with the London Symphony Orchestra.

The 1969 performance was among the first combinations of rock music with a full orchestra, and paved the way for other rock/orchestra performances.

Deep Purple were listed in the 1975 Guinness Book of World Records as "the globe's loudest band" for a 1972 concert.

I agree that music is only about favourites.

Beatles, hmmm, I would struggle to pick a best 10 Beatles songs. They wrote and performed sooo many good ones.

@Ben's Beasts, you’re probably all over this, but it looks like Tame Impala May have rescheduled their April dates to Dec.

Not sure if that’s new info, but I just saw an email from Ticketek and thought I would flag it.
Thanks mate. I had seen that earlier on a post from the band on Facebook. Haven’t got tickets as yet but definitely considering!
