Have forgotten what my team even looks like , but would be happy with 4-6 trades to try and fix some of it.
Think unlimited trades penalises those coaches that took a punt on "less popular players" who scored well in Round 1 eg Howe , Naismith , Viney etc and those that took a punt on Bewley , Fort , Long , Townsend etc etc
I guess once the fixture is announced for Round 2-5 they will let us know.

So there can be 3 rounds (Rounds 2 to 4) where the Queensland based teams might play amongst each other without having a derby/showdown/Q-clash and without having a repeat of the Port Adelaide vs Gold Coast Round 1 match.
I would personally leave the aforementioned state rivalry matches for non Victorian sides out of the first block of games and ideally until the late August and September so that all teams are minimising travel at that end of the season.
With 6 teams in Queensland, 2 in NSW and 10 in Victoria there will have to be teams travelling from Round 3 onwards assuming the Sydney derby gets played in Round 2.
I actually expect several teams to be travelling in Round 2, even if it is just the NSW and QLD based teams playing amongst themselves in a combined 8 team hub, or the Victorian and NSW teams combining in a hub of 12.
I expect the AFL to be making rolling announcements over the next week or so and look forward to them bringing a reasonably swift end to fixture speculation.
Supercoaches should be prepared for plenty of injuries and managed workloads particularly if the fixture has no midseason or pre-finals byes scheduled. 30 trades over 17 rounds would be ideal but I would definitely be in favour of allowing 3 trades every week rather than 2.

That would be good to keep the AFL going, but it's not that simple, according to the World Health Organization.

I don't know where to post this, so here seems like as good a place as any.
I've had any interesting lockdown period. Part of it homeschooling, part of it in hospital (not covid), part of it recovering at home, so I haven't been able to keep up with what's happening here or with Supercoach in general.
Is there a discussion or a dedicated thread where we are discussing how we go forward on various levels? The comps that have been set up, etc. as well as strategy? If so where can I find it.

I think the testing turnaround is pretty quick though. All the players and staff will be tested twice a week whether they have symptoms or not won't they? Think I heard that somewhere.
I was also thinking as soon as a team mathematically can't make finals they should be removed from the comp and sent home. The teams they were fixtured to play automatically get 4 points. The fixture is compromised even without the virus anyway. Less chance of infection, players get to see their families again rather than stay in isolation to play dead rubbers.
