Can the Swans do the impossible next week and make it to their 2nd GF in consecutive years. Freo is going to be very hard to beat at home not to mention Swans have to travel.
Biggs and Cunningham were really good. I hope the Swans will bring in Jedi Lamb this week. If Lamb doesnt play he might leave at the end of the year.
Swans reserves play their GF today so all eyes will be on how Rohan and LRT perform.

Tim Membrey could be a shocking inclusion for Saturday's match against Freo if Tippett fails to lineup.

McGlynn-> Mitchell
LRT -> Richards
Membrey/Rohan ->Tippett

Waite could be of interest to teams like Port and Brisbane who need a KPF but Carlton should hang on to him. Injuries aside, he's still a potent goalkicker and complements the smaller forward brigade very well. I think it would be Carlton's loss to get rid of him. It would be even bitter in 2014 if another team that gets Waite ends up knocking Carlton off the eight next year.
Wouldn't have thought Port would have any interest in bringing Waite across, too old for where our list is at and we have Shultz, Westhoff and Butcher as key forwards and Carlile and Trengove as key backs. We will need someone to replace Shultz in time but not someone who is older than him already. Need younger backmen as insurance or to replace Carlile/Trengove

Yeah that makes sense. Also Waite's injury prone doesn't help.

yup that is true as well.
I read somewhere Richmond is keen to pursue Dal Santo (although it seems North is the most desperate) so maybe a player and draft picks swap?
Saints would be wrap to get Martin.

Got to get somebody....can't let Martin go to PSD for nought.

Options:
GWS 1st pick
GWS Taylor Adams + pick
MEL 2nd pick
STK Dal Santo + swap picks

Problem is where Martin wants to go because if he rejects GWS and Melbourne, then Richmond may have to deal with teams with less.
And if Richmond says no deal, the Martin walks to the draft.

If Martin really wants to go to GWS and they present him with a big pay check, I honestly don't see them bothering to trade with Richmond. He'll just walk straight into the PSD for nothing. I mean they aren't going to waste draft picks when they can get him for free.

LOL...good point.
Although I think AFL will intervene if the offer from GWS is not up to par.
I remember reading the debacle last year regarding Tippett that AFL did not approve of the trade of Sydney's very low 1st Round pick + White.

How is the new coach thing going to work out @Essendon?
Assuming the person who takes the reins for 1 year is outside the current staff, what can he implement at Essendon? Does he, knowing that he only has a year, keep to Hird's style of play, or can he make changes? Does he have to consult Hird on list management ie. who he wants to bring in next year?

Also on what criteria does the 5-man panel select the new coach?

What about GWS's second pick? With both Essendon and the Crows out of the first round of this years draft they should be at pick 16 for their second pick i assume (if Melbourne don't get a priority pick) Could/should be a good enough bargaining chip considering he can walk to the draft anyway!

Edit: Imagine if GWS snared Swan with pick 1, Martin with pick 16 AND Buddy........

Yeah, I think GWS 2nd pick is in the top 10

And again the Travis Cloke argument will continue, tbh I have no idea how he can be in ahead of JJK.
I would love to see where Cloke kicks majority of his goals from, my guess would be that 50% would be from about 15 metres out, late in games when they mean nothing.
