I'm still torn about keeping Noble vs Doedee

I watched the Tigers v Pies and didn't think Noble looked that bad. Maybe he just struggled because the game was so high intensity. Probably won't get he same pressure from other teams so he might get more clean ball.

I didn't see the Adelaide v Port game, but the ball would have been at the right end for Doedee to get opportunity. Maybe Adelaide aren't a good enough team to apply enough pressure in the midfield to allow Doedee to intercept.

Unfortunately I can't ditch both and still bring in Cameron and Pittonet because I think I'd rather keep Bewley who is the one I'm going to have to chop
All of that would be my assessment.

Can’t believe I got sucked into Doedee.

Are you getting the BEs from SC Gold? I noticed that footywire hasn't got them up yet.

Edit: scratch that. They didn't yesterday, but have now.
I like footywire and tooserious but neither seems to be on top of all the changes. Footywire seems to have it's breakevens sorted but not it's projected price changes. Tooserious doesn't have a price change for a second game but at least their 3rd projected price change shows you which player is the better cash cow.

The breakevens for cheap 1 game players is distorted because it's using their price to create their first game score. I'd be using their projected 3rd price movement instead.

Actually if anyone has any other trade ideas for me keen to hear them! Sturt is another trade in option is he is named.
1 - Greene/houston out for Cameron(via DPP)/ and Howe/??
2 - Greene for Bennel or Cameron
3 - Jacobs/McRae out for Cameron/Gawn.
4 - Sturt in for Green
???
great start considering your Rucks , but when you have a 7 premium midfield it will help ?

how brave are you to stick with that ruck lineup ?

would nearly look at getting in Bennell & Sturt/Cameron myself and backing your premiums (that might not be the right approach though)

well done

Macrae to Bennel and Brayshaw to B Smith.

Unsure what route to take in terms of trades this week. Definetly want to bring in Sturt, probably for Tyler Brown if he gets dropped. Happy to hold Ceglar for now, idk what to do with Naismith? Houston to Howe/Stewart is also an option. Very happy I rolled the dice on Pittonet

Darcy Cameron is on a lot of peoples radar as a trade in, but whats his long term JS like? is he straight out once Cox is back?

I currently have a few options I'm mulling over.
1 - Greene/houston out for Cameron(via DPP)/ and Howe/??
2 - Greene for Bennel or Cameron
3 - Jacobs/McRae out for Cameron/Gawn.

Normally wouldnt consider Option 3, but as its very ealry days, and I'm ranked well overall (127th), should i go this to both avoid the cash drop and get Gawn in as it may not be until round 10 i could get him otherwise?
Am looking at option 3 as well for myself. Macrae and the dogs are real worry, don't trust Bevo throwing the team around.

Don't have Pittonet though so that's the only spanner in the works.

Why can't we have 5 trades again?

You can go with:

BE = 3*CP/MN - (last two scores)

CP = Current Price (k)
MN = Magic Number (4.9 - 5.4k/pt, would go with 5.3-odd for now, decreases throughout the year)

Should be close enough (tested it quickly on Houston - 464.5*3/5.3 - (60+79) = 123.9, he's showing with 123, so a touch off).

Have an old Google sheet I can link to if anyone wants it that does the calculation.

With the way rucks are scoring I feel like Pittonet is a must have for me and I’ll need to make a sacrifice to get him.

It’s either Doedee to Rivers if Sturt is not named or otherwise Bewley to Sturt. I just brought both of these players in and would be inclined to keep them if Pittonet hadn’t just scored 134.

I do lose a better on field player with this trade but I feel like it’s well worth the money he’ll likely make. I’ll have about 80k in my bank which should be enough to upgrade Viney to Macrae/Titch/Dunkley especially if I downgrade Tom Green

Cavarra will be traded up to Pittonet via Comben.

It’s not that much cash on bench in my view. Only 236k. Plenty are running Townsend, Long, Bewley and Doedee types on field. Replace one with a Starcevich, Rivers or Budarick type and grab potentially one of the best cash generators of the year in Pittonet.

130 odd against Gawn is huge, suggesting he could easily hit 100-110 avg against lesser rucks. Two more 100s will see him make 130k+ in just two weeks! Marshall/ROB both showed how good that No.1 ruck role is.

I wouldn’t overthink it personally.
Precisely.

The way I see it, it's far more likely that Sturt's 100 is a flash in the pan compared with Pittonet scoring 130 v Max Gawn. Whilst I definitely think Sturt is a priority if he's picked, I could easily see him dropping 50 50 whereas Pittonet with the #1 ruck slot could easily go 90+ for the rest of the season.

I don't think you should force the issue, but you shouldn't avoid him just because he's on the bench. I have BZT on the bench; and Pitto is only $46k more.

Fair call, just personally think the money is better spent onfield.

I guess if Naismith is out again, Pitonett in might be the way to go.

Before that was looking to get in Rivers and Sturt. Should have got Rivers in last week.

Decision this week is whether to trade Jacobs to Gawn (via a downgrade of Wingard to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell) or trade Jacobs to Pittonet as an R2.
Agree with above comments regarding the risk in leaving it too long to grab Gawn in a shortened season...those lost points are hard to make up.
But Pittonet could be the cash cow of the year, so I am seriously torn.

This is pretty much exactly what I thought before I read this post, which is a good sign as I trust your judgement

If I had that team I would go Houston down and Jacobs up to Goldstein as he has a massive 3 weeks ahead and likely stepping stone into G or G could hit that 700k mark which is only a stone throw into Grundy who could get a lower score being tag teamed by Marshall and Ryder.
Also Mumford could come in with Jacobs bad performance.

Maybe even grab Gawn if Williamson comes in.

I tend to agree (and plan to trade in Pittonet at R3).

If I had an ultra premo with a one week suspension, I’d happily park $500k on the bench for a week rather than trade them out.

I’m not sure that parking $100k on the bench for five weeks is that different - and the upside could well be greater.
