Is Naismith to Pit a short sighted sideways trade or worth it?
Thinking of this myself, no guarantees that Naismith will be back next week
I don't mind it but it really depends on team balance and dead rookies you have elsewhere. If you e.g. have Cavarra wasting away up fwd, I think Cavarra to Sturt would be a bigger priority than Naismith to Pittonent.

Not gonna lie, I'm tempted to trade Dusty out... any other season and I wouldn't trade a premium out for 1 week injury obviously, but with the extra trades per round it's more viable. I'm already slightly worried I'll end up with too many trades at the end of the season if I don't trade hard enough. So I've already traded in Bennell, Rivers and Cameron last week. Trading in Pittonet this week. Got one unused trade up my sleeve currently. If I trade Dusty to say a Jy Simpkin, I'd have 300k in the bank meaning I can upgrade a John Noble type next week. Have I gone mad to consider this?

Cavarra -> Sturt
Naitanui-> Pittonet

Frees up cash for upgrades next week/week after depending on any further necessary rookies. Still need Bennell if he still looks the goods after this week, plus any other must haves debuting this round.

Injuries to Martin and Greene, plus carrying Naismith is not nice, but think I just need to suck it up this week. Add in players not in form and I could have another low score unfortunately.

A bit of thinking time could see the forgotten Stephen Hill instead of Butler.
Again, subject to team drop.
Ok slight change after team drop sees Birchall probably stay as no one makes money with rookie donuts. Probably now Zerk-Thatcher & Tom Green out for S Hill and KKP. I know it's a week early for Hill but it was ok last week with Bennell & Rivers.

Why are you ditching Dev Smith? Just because you want the cash for Neale?
Why would you get rid of Dev Smith?
Yes, selling the kitchen sink, Brodie loses cash this week, Williamson should have good job security, Dev won't have the same scoring impact as Neale, especially being named on the forward flank. Neale should easily outscore him by 50ppg imo.

That's a good point. I have Cavarra and Frampton up forward so I might pass on Pit (hope Grundy isn't a late out & Naismith is back next week) and bring Sturt and Cameron into my fwd line

Would love some thoughts. Wanting to use my 2nd trade this week to bring in Sturt. Pretty much everything else in the team is settled, but have only 2 "non-playing" rookies to work with: Georgiades and Williams (Bailey J, DEF/RUC). My thoughts are one of the 3 below:

1. Straight swap Georgiades to Sturt
2. Trade out Williams from DEF, swing Starcevich into DEF, swing Budarick into MID, bring in Sturt
3. Skip bringing Sturt in altogether

Don't ideally want to do the 2nd option, but is it worth trading out Georgiades? Even if he doesn't survive the extended bench today, he's every chance of getting a game pretty soon, yes/no?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure the best way to get 2 of Pittonet, Sturt and Cameron in this week.
Davis not playing so he is one to go. Comben my only C loop atm, everyone else playing except for Davis.
Got Budarick, Rivers in mids and Brander, Starcevich in defence to swing.
Any advice? cheers.

Could do with some thoughts before tonights game...

Worried that Georgiades doesn't make that Port side.

Option 1.
Conroy ---> Pittonet
Townsend ---> Sturt
** If NO Georgiades then cop a '0'.

Option 2.
Conroy ---> Pittonet
Dusty ---> Sturt
** If NO Georgiades then then 6 playing FWDs, no donut.

Option 3.
Davis ---> Cameron
Townsend ---> Sturt
** Or Georgiades traded instead of Davis or Townsend
** If NO Georgiades then then 6 playing FWDs, no donut. No Pittonet or Dusty.

Real make or break decision here.

If you're going the cash cow route then porque no los dos? Naismith is an expensive bench sitter at R3 but will make a decent wad of cash when he returns.

I don't think anyone actually thinks that Sinclair will go from being one of the worst starting rucks in the AFL to somehow being serviceable enough to keep Naismith out when he returns from that niggle, after one game against an opposing ruck who looked pretty disinterested around the stoppages.
