One of the concerns/issues raised here in SA (supposedly) when they first raised the idea of a hub was that their wasn't a 2nd ground up to AFL standard (which I didn't quite understand as they have played JLT & AFLW games at suburban SANFL grounds) so is their a 2nd suitable ground in WA that meets AFL standard ?
Joondalup and Lathlain (Where the Eagles HQ is located) are 2 venues with AFL standard playing surfaces. Both have held recent Pre-season games.

Luck plays a huge role this year no doubt, but it will take some serious talent to be able to adapt your team to react to the curveballs being constantly thrown. I am of the opinion that to place well this year, it requires even more talent than in previous years. The variables are constantly changing, and we must constantly adapt.

With best 18 for postponed games, there’s nothing to adapt to, nothing to plan for. Just a lucky dip.

That's true and would help make things fairer, But there is also the huge question of Price changes.... Joe Bloggs may have no ESS & MEL players and gets full price increases on all his 30 players, where someone like me with 6 of those players would lose cash generation of around $200,000. In a game where cash generation is key... That's a huge hit. The only way to make that fairer, would to have no price changes for any player this round at all.

Also still doesn't help people like me who had the C on Gawn expecting a big score today... but have no viable options today so will be stuck with a poor Captain score. My only option is take Grundy's 103 as VC or go the 2 Gamer Rowell. How's that fair when I could have and would have switched to Neale if I'd known about this Best 18 crap.
Feel for you mate.

Given the season is stuffed, just whack it on Rowell and cheer on every possession against the Crows lol

Has anyone had a stab at estimating what Par might be this week and what a “strong” total score might be?
I’m guessing around 1500/1600 might be a reasonably competitive par and 2000 might be the benchmark for a really strong score. Does this seem about right or too high?
I have the captains hat sitting on Neale, that’s 332 off the bat, so hopefully I can push for 2000 here, looking like a good round for me, I get both Pittonet's 137 and Brown's 80 off my bench and Whitfield's 8 and Tom Berry's 21 will drop off the back. Good times ??‍♂️

99% luck imo lol.

How are you supposed to plan for anything if you could be losing premo scores randomly.
I guess at the end of the day we just have to deal with the cards we have and try and enjoy it for what it is

Unfortunately we can't control the uncontrollables , halfway through Round 3 might be a lot worse things to come.

There's still $50k to win, it might be a lot of luck but someone is still going to take home the Dollarydoo's. Might as well play to win mate.

Agree , but no use giving yourself a ulcer in the process.

Just deal with what happens when it happens , we might even get the Round 6 fixture this week.
