I can’t SC without Fyfe so with Sturt now out, thinking of just doing Sturt/Jelly to Fyfe/Rivers.

Means I keep Danger but at least he is in the CBAs from what I’ve seen. Jelly missing again would make the decision easy.

Cavarra is a real survivor, think I may just hold him now haha

I have marked Viney for Fyfe in a couple of rounds

Nowhere near locked in, will completely rely on teams, but may look at Jacobs and Sturt to Bennell and Simpkin (done via Cameron to R3 / Ceglar to R1, depending if Naismith plays or not, and Dusty back to the forward line). Sturt is out for 3-5 weeks based on the injury report, so think he may have to go, despite probably having cash to make.

If I have too many outs, might have to cover some of them, there's also others in the gun including Mitchell, Greene, Bont etc. Trying to avoid sideways trading now, but may need to change strategy to improve.

In short, no idea yet.

Who are the rookies that are available this week to trade in for Sturt. Through DPP can grab anyone. This is who I currently have:

Def: Noble, Starcevich, Rivers, Brander, Williams (FD)
Mid: Rowell, Anderson, Budarick, Bennell (Pickett, Brown, McInerney)
Ruc: Pittonet
Fwd: Bewley, Taylor, King, Sturt

Thinking Tom Williamson is probably the best option from those that played last week? Also considering Noble > Doedee as a second trade

Interesting to see that you are considering trading Doedee out this week (and I can see why based on the "ins" you are targeting). I'm actually looking to upgrade a rookie to Doedee this week as part of a mini upgrade (D6). What are you thoughts on Doedee now having seen him play last week?

I just don't know with Doedee and the crows.....we look really bad. I think he will be up and down i guess is my concern. The only reason I am even thinking about trading him though is the aggressive 2 premium to one option trading him and Jelly brings. Concerns on cash generation mean I likely keep him though and he is a bit of a POD that hopefully spikes over 400k and makes a 1 trade "fallen premium" swap viable.

Townsend and Pickett both have a BE of 0 if I remember rightly. Does anyone know how much their prices will rise if they score 50 each?

I think roughly $22k.

Think he will do well enough to get another rookie rise + his value increase as a stepping stone into premo defender.

23k for a 55 from Pickett and 32k from a 70 for Townsend so not much either way with a bigger projection.

Keep in mind that he has Gold Coast and Adelaide in the next two rounds. Is unlikely to get much cheaper in the short-term with a BE of 76.

I am considering Fyfe + Bennell as trade-ins or go full mid-pricer (or emerging premiums with Simpkin and Bailey Smith.

Fyfe was one of the few that didn't really lose value last year. He started at 618,100 got down to 564k but finished the season where he started at 618,100 haha.
Just be careful as he has never played a full season so u have to be confident he plays another 14 games.

when did he get a mid role? probably only preseason, now playing forward. Given he scored mostly in one quarter in round 1 (think Q1), he has scored about 60 over 7 quarters now.

Sturt and Dunkley to Harley Bennell and Petracca. $180k in the bank and hopefully upgrades can begin soon. Houston gets yet another reprieve but he's on thin ice unless he turns it around.
