Was thinking about the way we use our trades ect for SC and have come up with an idea.
Tell me what you think.

We still get our allotment of 30 trades for the year.
But per round you can use up to 5 meaning this week potentially I could bring in all of

Day, Rankine, Simpson, Whitfield and possible another upgrade, all of which if I had the trades available I would do.

Thoughts??? does this make achieving the complete gun team a little easier but still needing to manage trades for later rounds.
I believe this would bring a lot more team management into it you could have a premo team by rd 10-11 but have 3 trades to last 10-11 weeks
Also am aware that it could create more ghost ship sides towards the end of the season but most that do that are only casual/non serious players

This also means that after round 7 potentially you could have no trades left but honestly who would use 5 every week 6 weeks in a row

Sounds good, but as you said the issue with ghost ships. Don't think SC would want their brand tarnished, although after this year, it already has. I'd propose 3 trades a round would be more manageable.

I'm sure I would give it a crack. I have never quite managed the conserving trades part of SC.

In hindsight I think more trades each week would have been a good idea in the shorter season. Ordinarily I think they wouldn’t change it part way through the season however if we move away from traditional rounds after round 8 then who knows.

Perhaps for round 9 to 12 they could give us 8 or maybe 10 trades to use through that period in any way we want.

Could be worth a try. They haven’t been very innovative with the format. It hasn’t changed for a long time and I think they need to freshen it up and introduce some changes.

The lack of bye period will also change this game. It’s typically a time when coaches can think 4-5 weeks ahead and make big mo es with 2-up/1-down etc, and the 18 gives you some benefits if you’ve built a good bench etc.

With this not happening, plus the 2-game pri e changes, it’s more a week to week swing or miss (see my first round va my season!).

I can see the reason for the change of Washington's nickname Redskins.

@Professor don't you think it's about time Carlton Football club have a proper nickname? What is 'Blues'? ;)
I thought I had read elsewhere that the local indigenous people the club name was honouring didn't mind it and they had even had a part in the design of the logo. It's more the "white" Americans who are pushing for the name change.

I personally think the Cleveland Indians would be equally or more offensive, especially their cartoon logo, but I haven't heard they are changing.
