Haven't made any trades as yet. So far i'm 8/1056 and have S.Jacobs on my bench as R3 and i already have Gawn & Grundy at R1 & R2. I'm looking to trade Jacobs down to a rookie ruck to free cash.

I'm planning on going either Noble or Williamson to Lloyd & M.King to Close but i will need to trade Jacobs down to rookie ruck to fund this. Is S.Draper a good option as he MIGHT provide some cover if the unthinkable happens and Gawn or Grundy miss games? Is there a better option?

Appreciate any help or input, thank you.

Finally a coaching panel put some work into the most influential player in the comp. Every time a kick went long down the line Port had a player at the drop of the ball and another coming over the top to spoil so Gawn couldn't get a run at it or take it at it's highest point. I noticed Jonas would make a special effort to run down the ground to be that spoiler. He played really well tonight. Port held their positions at stoppages and stopped the Melbourne mids getting on the move.
It was also like watching Leyton Hewitt play tennis. Leyton played so far above his talent because he would move his opponent all over the court and constantly wrong foot them. Always playing the ball behind them.
Melbourne keep wanting to fall back or flood a certain part of the ground and Port just played them like a fiddle. Port's first move would be to the port side, :), Melbourne players all move to the port side, port then go starboard to the free space. Their kicking into the forward line was either short to a lead or way over the back to a lead. Rarely just bombed in.
Well coached Port Adelaide.
I'm still not sure they get past a couple of other teams.
Voss should be the next in line to be a head coach. Really impressed that he swallowed his pride and became an assistant.

Surely the weighting of points meant the majority were awarded in 1st half when Port led by 8 goals?
Georgi had 3 touches in that half & gave away 50 metre penalties, late goals just aren't rewarded when games over?
Probably. But how does one justify Dixon scoring 76 from 5 touches...that’s 15 pts a touch...Cyril would be mightily impressed😆

Do you have a F/R in your forward line at all ?

Been some talk the last few weeks that Adelaide could bring in Strachan to give help to ROB.

Meek has been mentioned at Fremantle "In The Mix" a few times now.

Can't think of any others.

Haha I love how anyone can spin a score to justify it

If MG was theoretically given a 110 tonight, people would be saying “Well he kicked more goals than anyone tonight and had a good contested grab. Helps he played for the winning side too, 110 well deserved” :ROFLMAO:

End of the day, his score has him in the bottom 10 players on the ground across both teams. Anyone who watched the game knows that just wasn’t true.

Georgiades:

Last week - 7 disposals, 1 goal, 86 SC
This week - 11 disposals, 3 goals, 55 SC

Anyone on board with the opinion that 50 metre penalties against are too harshly judged SC points wise?
Depends on the effect. If it's in the middle of the ground and it puts the opposition 30m out with a set shot at goal it should cost a lot of points. Champion data probably apply scaling to the 50m penalty. My issue is with how the umpires are "coached" and the rules are written and implemented. People argue that you need black and white rules because you can't umpire intent but I disagree. There wouldn't be another ball game in the world with so many grey areas and intent should play a large part in the umpiring. You're going to get good and bad decisions either way.
Was one of the 50's for being in the protected zone? If a player's intent is to get ahead of the ball and they have no interference with the man with the ball then just keep playing.

No spin required,he was unsighted apart from kicking the 1st goal & giving away 50m penalties
How many points should be have been off those stats at halftime?
Looked ok when it was over but you don't get bonus points for hype as a 2nd year player.

As someone who has only had Max for 2 games now, what's all the hype about?

Anyway, the Dees were absolutely shocking tonight, probably the worst they've played in a very long time and that's saying something after the rubbish that was dished up last year.

My better half will want to watch Bachelor in Paradise next Wednesday night when the Dees play next and after sitting through tonight, I'm not going to put up a fight, Osher it is (and sadly I don't think I'll regret it).

Thank you very much for your input. I don't have a F/R in my team. I need the funds from trading out S. Jacobs to fund upgrading Williamson or Noble to J. Lloyd so might have to bite the bullet & trade in Draper for Jacobs, at least he's in this week but I guess with Mckernan likely to come back in next week or so his job security wouldn't be that good unless he has a ripper tomorrow & weeks to come.

Thanks again.

Petracca now over $ 600k
If it wasn't for the fact that Melbourne had already had their Bye, he'd be really close to "trade me out" territory!
He still might be, depending on how the other Byes stack up.
He's roughly $604k, BE 118. I'd normally like a higher BE before trading someone like him out, but it will be given serious consideration!

Please do. If you could convince everyone else to also, that would be wonderful! I just brought him in this week.
