6/624.....Meandering along in a solid but not spectacular kind of way

My trade of Oliver to Pickett has cost me negative one point thus far haha. I will be happy next week when he feasts on the crows....unless he misses due to being reported or rested. Ah well it looks nice having him in my team. One for the long term hopefully!

Any ideas on the likelihood of McKay getting named? Need to trade Williamson for a rookie so won't be able to see the Roos' team beforehand and will cop a donut if he isn't named. Could go BZT instead but prefer McKay if he keeps his spot.

No spin required,he was unsighted apart from kicking the 1st goal & giving away 50m penalties
How many points should be have been off those stats at halftime?
Looked ok when it was over but you don't get bonus points for hype as a 2nd year player.
I reckon he should’ve been on at least 20 points. He was instead on like 6 points. The first goal was undervalued and the 2 50s were over-penalised

It was a mistake keeping the 3300 for shortened quarters. Players now get random scaling for doing nothing at the end of each quarter just to meet the quota & MG didn’t benefit at all from the random scaling last night when others did.

You know the system is broken if Dixon can score 20 more points than MG with just 5 touches & 1 goal. Don’t know why you would argue otherwise. Daisy Pearce had MG 4th best on ground so someone was certainly valuing what he was doing.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but shout out to Billy Gowers, one of the better forward rookies the other year. Managed a staggering -2 off 84% ToG the other night.

Joins some very elite company.

If it wasn't for the fact that Melbourne had already had their Bye, he'd be really close to "trade me out" territory!
He still might be, depending on how the other Byes stack up.
He's roughly $604k, BE 118. I'd normally like a higher BE before trading someone like him out, but it will be given serious consideration!
Be interesting to see if he can keep his season going at this rate , career best season averaging 35 than he has previously done.

Watching last night , he does look extremely fit though.

Thank you very much for your input. I don't have a F/R in my team. I need the funds from trading out S. Jacobs to fund upgrading Williamson or Noble to J. Lloyd so might have to bite the bullet & trade in Draper for Jacobs, at least he's in this week but I guess with Mckernan likely to come back in next week or so his job security wouldn't be that good unless he has a ripper tomorrow & weeks to come.

Thanks again.
No worries , Draper sounds the best bet.

It is certainly one of the most anticipated debuts , reading some things yesterday , some big wraps on him , hopefully he goes well.

Might be a very popular trade in target next round.

Well reading the posts on Points allocation I agree.

Points distribution making absolutely no sense, and the umpires are horrendous, just dreadful. Over complicating the game.

Just let them play he ball, half of the free kicks left me scratching my head. And I don’t support either team.

Gorgie you have seen his stats, only 51pts. HuH
Oliver the worst midfield disposals EVER and gets 100.....

The algorithms have been adjusted again. If max had the same game round 3 that would have been 120pt game.

Free Port...........

Well, Melbourne skills are horrendous, lots of players walking, something has to give at the club, very soon.

Thanks again for your opinion. Re: trading Noble or Williamson for Lloyd, who do you think is the better choice? Is Noble likely to hold his spot in the team this week? Very annoying we won't know before the Blues v Hawks game tonight so I have to decide before then who to trade to Lloyd.

I'd rather keep Noble as I think he is the better scorer but not sure who has the better job security & trading Noble gives me more cash, but I feel keeping him over Williamson makes me slightly stronger onfield for now until both are gone.

Any help from anyone would be appreciated very much.

I thought Noble kept his spot (was a late in for Cox) when Varcoe was out (rib issue) so haven't seen an update , playing Sunday we may not even have had our main training session yet.

I am not a fan of Noble as a footballer so I might not be the best person to offer a suggestion 😀

Haven't made any trades as yet. So far i'm 8/1056 and have S.Jacobs on my bench as R3 and i already have Gawn & Grundy at R1 & R2. I'm looking to trade Jacobs down to a rookie ruck to free cash.

I'm planning on going either Noble or Williamson to Lloyd & M.King to Close but i will need to trade Jacobs down to rookie ruck to fund this. Is S.Draper a good option as he MIGHT provide some cover if the unthinkable happens and Gawn or Grundy miss games? Is there a better option?

Appreciate any help or input, thank you.
I don’t have a strong view on Draper but D Cameron could be an alternative if you have a little cash buffer. He’s obviously playing already and has DPP as well as providing more of a hedge for Grundy. I gather Draper may be a good prospect, but could potentially play forward from what I’ve read here.

It's 50/50 really with team news being so late these days but in terms of JS, Williamson has better JS than Noble.
But in terms of scoring, Noble > Williamson for sure.

If you have a spare man (or men) in DEF, I would keep Noble and punt on him being selected.
If not and to avoid a potential donut, you might have to keep Williamson.

Goodwin can't be feeling too good about his job security, given the state the club was in when he was handed the keys by Roosy...

6/574 lots of meh. New acquisition Ladhams was poor, but beat his BE which was 75% the reason for choosing him over others (but should have waited for the Friday teams before the trade, as I would have taken Draper). Either way, I'll likely be in a marginally better $ position next week so maybe it's ok. (I'll keep telling myself that, and maybe I'll eventually believe it)
