31 July is Sam Skinner’s mother’s birthday.

Probably not so much this season based on performance , but definitely over the last few seasons

Mentioned it many times before but his work as a mid in traffic is as good as any going around including Danger & Fyfe

Andrews & Haynes are definitely two others that the Victorian media took ages to recognise how good they were , probably going gah gah over Rance all the time.

Speaking of which Astbury & Grimes are/were probably very under rated outside of the Richmond circle.

Toss up between Bontempelli and Darcy Moore for overrated.

Can’t split Hopper and Shepherd for under.

Under: Brad Sheppard - Hands down one of the best if not the best medium defender in the league. Never gets any credit over East. Should be a multiple All-Australian by now yet somehow still to get a nod. Takes the most dangerous mid sized forward each week and rarely gets beaten. Think your Toby Greene's, Heeney, De Goey, Wingard, Charlie Cameron's. Shutting those guys down each week goes a long way to the Eagles success.

Honourable mention: Mitch Duncan - Playing in the shawdow of Danger, Ablett & Selwood... Duncan goes way under the radar. Very dependable, rarely plays a bad game and important to the way Geelong play.

Over: Dustin Martin - Easy decision here. The way the media carry on about this bloke is sickening, lol

Unders: Would have said Brayden Maynard at beginning of year however he is getting some recognition now.
