The question for me in 2014 is whether to start with Heater or not.
Has always been a roller coaster ride with this guy but now that he has changed clubs, I wonder what the impact would be on his scoring.
Will be interesting
I am taking the punt. GWS has a good start and I don't want to miss the Heater boat.

Mitchel has deadly skills but gee wizz the man loves a quick handball. Got frustrated watching him last year. Can hit a target within 50 with deadly accuracy yet would have 14 hanballs 5 kicks at half time.
very effective and doing the team thing I understand but if he kicked a little more his scores would have been better

What are people's thoughts of Andrew walker? He could be a back/forward option and would fit into the same category as mcveigh/Mitchell/bartel price zone
Tentative yes for me. Maybe if there was a good D/F link and his role doesn't look like changing.

The acquisition of Hampson & Daisy almost definitely means Walker will be staying in the back lines. Hampson plunked at full forward and Daisy playing the "hit up" high half forward role.

Only way I see it changing is if Malthouse sees he can't develop Gibbs as a pure mid and slots him back into that position. Meaning Walker and Daisy rotate Wing/HF

I personally think Walker was the most damaging rebound defender in the league last year and I dare say Mick sees it too. Can't defend to save his life though. Which I think teams will have noticed and will try make him more accountable.

I'd like to see him pushed to a wing permenantly myself. At 190cm 90kg a deadly kick and amazing tank & leap, there are not many blokes that could go with this guy for 4 quarters.

Highly likely to be in my side come round 1.

Ah slip of the mind there thanks for reminding me of that one lads. Mick still looking for his 2nd full time big then. Who besides Casbault do the have in the works, Oz would be the one to ask here.

Still would like to see Walker on a wing though :D

If Goddard doesn't keep his dual position I will take either Mitchell or McVeigh. Not sure which one yet.

Oz will definitely know best.

Carlton still has Sam Rowe who is probably the most to gain from Hampson's absence. I think Kreuzner will play as a Forward-Ruck in tandem with Warnock is the plan. Rowe will battle it out with Casboult for a spot in Full Forward alongside Waite. Wood will come in only if a serious injury befell Warnock or Kreuzner.

A discounted Waters on anyone's mind?
What's his status at the moment?
Is he still on the bench in preseason or has he started full training? If the latter, I am tempted to bring him in Rd 1 but a huge risk..
