If this could be a possibility, then I hope the SC organisers are working on a plan to let us know, as soon as possible, what they will do.
Maybe send them a email and see what they are thinking of doing.

Did they ever reply to you after your email about the Essendon v Melbourne game ?

Don't think they can as they are waiting for the AFL announcements like the rest of us
Why can't they let us SC Coaches know now what they plan to do if that scenatio comes about (.........if the very real possibility arises that the AFL schedules extensive BYES during what will be the SC finals weeks.........), so we can now start planning our strategy?

Halfway through the season, thought I would take a look on TooSerious and see who has made the most $$$ YTD (could have fluctuated each round)

11 rookies only have made $ 125 k profit (and of those Vandermeer, Rankine, Serong, Simpson & McAdam didn't play Round 1) , of the other 6 I started Rowell, Pickett , Taylor & Budarick.......how I missed King at the start and the recommencement I still don't know , passed on Anderson due to his starting price, should have trusted his JS more

*Rowell +263,400 Ave 102
*Pickett +209,500 Ave 74
Corr +189,600 Ave 81
Ridley +189,500 Ave 107
*King, M +173,600 Ave 62
*Vandermeer +166,900 Ave 61
Brayshaw +164,000 Ave 103
Petracca +161,800 Ave 117
Doedee +159,800 Ave 82
*Rankine +154,900 Ave 76
*Serong +154,300 Ave 78
Keays +151,700 Ave 78
Butler +146,700 Ave 87
*Simpson +146,100 Ave 80
English +145,400 Ave 106
*Taylor +142,500 Ave 59
*Anderson +142,200 Ave 67
Rayner +134,400 Ave 72
*Budarick +130,400 Ave 52
Bailey+ 129,000 Ave 78
Short +127,200 Ave 95
*McAdam
+126,200 Ave 55

Will leave it to people more smarter than me on how that reflects our starting sides moving forward but blokes like Ridley, Brayshaw, Petracca, Doedee (missed Round 1) , Butler , English, Short all look viable starters from the start , but might constitute mid price madness and yes hindsight is a wonderful thing.

You might have joined me on the banned list after I sent them too many emails about their BBL pricing and positions 😀

Pretty poor customer relationship that they can't even send a reply.
Haha, I only sent 3 emails. I suppose it would be a time consuming job replying to all the emails, but agree, poor customer relationship.

I think *technically* midprice madness is always viable - just hardly feasible!

I recall last season someone calculated a winning starting squad for circa $6 million!

$ 6 million wow , would hardly need to downgrade.

I love looking back at the end of the season on all the hindsight teams and thinking why/how would you consider XYZ then go back through comments here to see if they were ever mentioned.

Load up on rookies at the start , then watch them slowly disappear and make little $$$ leading to compromised selections as upgrades , damned if I know the right formula of years of playing.

Trying to pick 2-6 mid pricers put of a 100 that might actually work.

I wonder what a auto-fill side Round 1 would give you.

Hats off to those people who consistently perform well year after year.

My opinion only. We will get 3 more bye rounds (4, 4, 2 or in another order) in rounds 14/15/16.

Don’t have anything concrete to back that up. Just my view based on who still has to have a bye and leaving the last two rounds bye free.

If correct, who lands on what bye will be make or break.

That concurs with what I am thinking will happen regarding the byes. But without knowing which players to target and when, it makes the whole thing a lottery. Unless of course we find out before the start of round 11.

This is weird.

Article on FoxSports has Gil only talking about Round 17 being "normal" and Round 14-16 being compressed.
