As per my post Gil made no mention at all of a Round 18 (maybe he forgot).

He also confirmed the catch up game would be played in the Round 14-16 block.
Just listed to the interview, and he was pretty vague about all the fixturing stuff.
Sounded like he had some back of the napkin concepts, that haven't been run past the scheduling team.
Foxfooty then chiseled it in stone as if it was a sermon from the mount.

Cheers for that.

Might have a listen tonight after the game waiting for lockout to be lifted.

Certainly confused me reading the article and no mention of Round 18 whatsoever.

Yeah I’m a bit torn on this one. I’ve been in and around footy clubs for most of my life and this stuff is kid gloves compared to a lot of stuff that goes on.

Can’t be doing that stuff on TV though so it’s either remove change room cameras or stop grabbing your mates on the barnacles mid song. I actually lean toward removing the cameras as weird as it sounds.
The bum patting is strange enough. Just don't understand why you'd grab another guys tackle. Each to their own, though.

Also, these guys know they're filmed during this part of proceedings. If you need to cop a feel, there's plenty of time when the camera isn't around.

Except the politicians of course. They don't seem to have lost out on too much. Certainly not their pay packets.

Don't forget that AFL players/clubs are a massive bubble (normally, let alone now with COVID lockdowns). What society views as reasonable takes a while to breach the bubble walls.

It was a stupid action and I am deeply embarrassed. I’ve apologised to Mabior,” Vlastuin said.
Short added: “It was unacceptable behaviour and a poor example.”
Chol was also quoted in the statement, saying he took no offence but understood the poor optics.
“I have no issue whatsoever with those players, or any of my teammates, but understand that is not the sort of example we should be setting,” Chol said

Thanks for your concern Hugh

Let's deal with this as an issue, not a personal witch hunt
Context is important. My mates can call me a FnC and we are rolling around laughing. My boss says I'm difficult and I don't sleep so well. My bosses language is completely acceptable but the tone and the setting make it much worse. I didn't expect Chol to say anything else and we are looking in from the outside but I think the media was right to question it.

Interesting that not one single footy writer said a word
