Strategy Round 11: Trades

Thinking of the following:

OUT: Starcevich, Bennell, King
IN: Walters, Sholl, Schoenberg/Wicks (depends on selections)

Was tempted by Simpkin this week, but have been eyeing off Walters for a while, and feel as though 550K is as low as he's going to get with Hawthorn, Carlton and Sydney over the next 3 rounds.

Great to have Dunkley back and Crippa for the 1st time since last year.

I may only do Bennell to Schoenberg this round and wait a week on upgrading MPickett.

Will have 17 prems + Rankine playing without an upgrade.

Worried about copping carnage so feels tricky to trade MPickett so early in the round before the rest of the teams are known.

I'm not going in blindly like I did on Skinner last round.
Who are the rookies people are going with as downgrade targets?

Will probably reverse this anyway because I don't need to do any of these trades until Sunday

Hey guys! Any chance you would know what Trey Ruscoe's JS is like? Would he play in the next 4-5 games at least?

Reading on the website sounded like the plan was to rotate about 4 players each game during the condensed fixture.

Treloar & Quaynor confirmed out , not sure on WHE status.

Greenwood & Langdon might be back for the Adelaide game , Pendles the game after.

Listening on the radio Ruscoe was playing FF early , not sure who was helping Grundy in the ruck contest , if they decide they need Cameron back in suspect it would be for Reid or Ruscoe.

Hey guys! Any chance you would know what Trey Ruscoe's JS is like? Would he play in the next 4-5 games at least?

I'd think hoping for a 4-5 game stretch from any rookie coming in at this point is probably a bit of a reach.

With Ruscoe he did look energetic and got to some good spots, so if he'd kicked straight then he'd have stood out more.

The one negative is that he doesn't really look all that solid in the defensive aspects of his game, which might impact on his chances of getting a good run of 4-5 games in a row.

MIDS: M Pickett, Serong both on field, with Starc, Close, and Warner on bench
FWD: Rankine and Aarts both on field, Weightman and Comben on bench.

So I’m going Starc to Schoenberg, and Weightman to Darling.

(There was a post the other day about Darling’s good run-in last season, can’t remember who posted it but it jogged my memory)

Results in (hopefully) a playing rookie and a loop on each line, but also leaves only 20k itb.

Will have four more upgrades to go, with 15 trades.

You’re right! Hadn’t thought of that hahaha. Only got Warner in a couple of weeks ago, can’t remember why but with his bye and the need to trade I reckon you’re right, he has to go. Thanks!
