Shiel vs JPK vs Parker vs Coniglio?

I guess more generically looking for a mid under $510k. These are the 4 I've taken interest in - thinking Shiel given recent form

Agree with you that based on recent form that Shiel looks the best of these. JPK second. Parker has had a few bad games recently. Cogs is on my never again list for a reason.

I also wouldn’t discount Dunkley. Obviously you are betting on magnets putting him back as an inside mid, but if I saw a second ruck named for the West Coast game (likely in my opinion as Dunks rucking vs Nic Nat would be a joke), than that’s a risk worth considering in my view.

Not sure why but it doesn't sit well with me having 3 players on the same line (would join Macrae and Bont)

I know it's realistically not any different to having B Smith up until a week ago, but just feels strange when they are on the same line!

Greenwood vs Parish?

Hopefully parish gets more mid time with McGrath out but Essendon have a tough finish (Gee, PTA, Mel).

With the news Angus Brayshaw will miss a couple of weeks at least I've been forced to look into some different trade options to get another premium MID in. Annoyingly the news that Brayshaw would miss has come after the start of the PTA game last night, as I would've pulled the trigger on Walters to Rozee had I known Brayshaw would miss, a move I had been contemplating throughout yesterday which would've allowed me to also get Fyfe and ROB.

Anyway here's some option that I'm looking into...

Nat Fyfe + Max Gawn + Jake Riccardi (Hold at F6 - maybe trade in a <$300 speculative to loop with next round)

vs.

Nat Fyfe + Reilly O'Brien + <$440K FWD (Next Week - maybe Toby Greene)

vs.

Josh P Kennedy + Max Gawn + Connor Rozee (Next Week)

vs.

Josh P Kennedy + Reilly O'Brien + Hugh Greenwood (Next Week)

So the main crux of the query is, Gawn vs. ROB? And could I get both Fyfe and Gawn and ride Riccardi as F6 (who to be fair is performing much better than the rest of my FWD line)?

Here's my side...

DEF: Laird, May, Ridley, Stewart, Crisp, Docherty [Sholl, McQuillan (FWD)]
MID: Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Mitchell, J. Kelly*, Duncan, Cripps, BRAYSHAW [Wicks, Rivers, Bytel]
RUC: Grundy, DRAPER [Conroy]
FWD: Whitfield, Petracca, B. Smith, D. Martin, J. Martin, M. Walters [Riccardi, O'Connor (DEF)]

Walters the player in the firing like to facilitate the upgrades/trades.

4 Trades and $154,600

If possible, would you be able to post the rest of your side to help with recommendations?

An option could be:
Out: S Draper, A Brayshaw, J Kelly (assuming you have held all season)
In: M Gawn, N Fyfe, 102,400 loop

170,000 and 1 trade to upgrade 1 of Wicks/Rivers/Bytel to a Wingard/Acres/Greene etc to open a fwd/mid link.

I actually like option 1. Two premiums in Gawn and Fyfe, Riccardi looking good in his first three games. Could backfire if Riccardi drops off, but I would take the risk.

Or Connoisseur's option looks good too if you prefer.

Cheers fellas, I think I had settled on the Gawn and Fyfe option, then I looked into moving on Kelly...

Kelly --> Fyfe
Brayshaw --> Lyons

Then next week...

Wicks --> Donut
Draper --> ROB

Hmmm. I can get away with holding Kelly this week. But will desperately need him back and at his best for next week (prelim week).

That option would also keep Walters to loop with Riccardi. But no Gawn.

I'm stuck with Walters and not happy about it. I think I'd prefer Gawn to ROB personally, but you'd want more certainty on Kelly, agreed.

I need a defender under 480k that isn’t Doc. I’m leaning Daniel at the moment but it doesn’t feel great. Anyone in the market that cares to lend some weight?

Alternatively I can take Scrimshaw and them my mid upgrade would be Macrae over Steele.

So I guess it’s Scrimshaw & Macrae Vs Steele and Daniel

I might be biased having started him, but on recent form Bailey Williams looks a better option at the Dogs compared to Daniel.

Scrimshaw and Macrae seems the safer bet on current form.

Going to use my last two trades, one this week, one next. McGrath and Draper OUT.

IN:

JPK + Ryder vs. B. Crouch + Witts/Lycett

Option 1 for me.

Edit: possibly too late anyway, not a great first quarter for Ryder.
