BBL clubs are now able to add an optional 19th 'marquee' player to their roster that will be paid for by Cricket Australia - that is in addition to each club's $1.86m salary cap. But the catch is clubs must lock in their players by the end of this week in order for CA to apply for the necessary government exemptions that would allow those players into the country.

Nabi confirmed for the Melbourne Renegades.

Would love Nabi to convince the Renegades to get Mujeeb (or Qais) as well.

Think Mujeeb would be unreal at Marvel (if they play their next season)

Lalor & Prestwidge likely joining as well.

Sam Whiteman's turnaround is quite remarkable really. So much talent and promise as a youngster, was almost on the scrap heap a few years back, I recall him barely able to get a game in the depleted Scorchers side when they made up half the national white ball squads. Fantastic to see him make it as an opener at the moment.

Didn't he have a really serious finger injury a few years ago (similar) to Paine , that kept him out for a long time ?
